I would say that Steem in 16Mhz mode should be noticeable faster than Mega STE, because (as mentioned earlier) the only CPU works at 16MHz and the cache works there in "write-through" mode. In that mode, every time when the CPU writes data to the RAM it is slowed down by it.

I wonder how they calculated the frequency:
28000Hz * (freq. const. / 65536) = output frequency
and for frequency constant = 0001H they get 2,34Hz oscillator frequency
My calculation gives different result: 28 000,00 * ( 1 / 65535) = 0,427252613
ok. clr instruction is buggy in 68k, I wonder what would it be if you use e.g. "move.l" instead.
