The original Wolfenstein - C64 version Spy vs. Spy Archon Knight Games EDIT: Oh...Bruce Lee from the C64 days would be mighty fine, too.

I seem remember Knights Of Xentar featuring a werewolf raping a girl cut scene. The game sucked so my memory of it is a bit fuzzy.

I've played it on the Amiga. A little generic, but not bad.

Progress Quest. Granted, it's a joke game...but it's a game none the less.

Bowling for the 2600 is definitely in my top 10 of favorite Atari games. The absolute best bowling game I have played is probably Capcom Bowling in the arcades.

You, sir, have impeccable taste. Mine is reflected in the list above although I would remove Ultima VI and Tunnels Of Doom and throw in Bard's Tale II, III, Questron II, Moria, and Phantasie I & III.

When I was in the first grade I received my first 2600 with a pack-in copy of Combat. My parents also got me Donkey Kong. There was some hardcore game playin' to be had that vacation. It was definitely my favorite Atari gift.

I wouldn't mind more turn-based open-envirnment games along the lines of Pool Of Radience. Not necessarily a true tactics system which factors in ground, weather, etc. Just something simple but effective.

$20 for a working A500 is worth it simply for Amiga's version of Moria.

I wish GWAR put out a game. Doesn't even have to be a good game, just something equally as offensive as their music. That should get all the game protesters buzzing around like somebody throwing rocks at a hornet's nest.

I used to work at a movie store in the mid-90's, hence had the opportunity to read a lot of magazines. One of which featured some shots for Bloodstorm which was being released for the Neo Geo. So I guess planned but never released? My bad. Sorry for the mis-info guys.

Agreed. Although the arcade wasn't really that bad. It's no Street Fighter II, but the idea of defending your life as well as limbs was a pretty cool idea. Bloodstorm was released for the Neo Geo, though. Looking past the unholy amounts of cheesy gore, Bloodstorm was actually a really fun fighter for it's time. The first time I played it was at Hampton Beach in NH, and I got schooled by some kid who couldn't have been any older than 10. I assume that same kid now kills people for fun.

Beyond The Beyond - PSX - Generally frowned upon by RPG geeks, it's a turn-based button-masher...a downright terrible idea. Other than that, this is a pretty involved, not to mention difficult toward the end, game. Iron & Blood - PSX - A Dungeons & Dragons fighter. Everybody I've talked to that owns this absolutely hates it. For it's time, the ability to gain levels and equipment was pretty rad. It's no Dead Or Alive, but I've certainly played many worse fighters that this. Kyle Petty's No Fear Racing - SNES - For whatever reason people hate this game. I pulled an all-nighter the first time I played it, and didn't put the controller down except for quick bathroom breaks until I beat it. The Punisher - Genesis - I live for 2D beat 'em up's, and The Punisher in the arcade was pretty impressive. Translated terribly onto Genesis, but I still love playing it. Platoon - NES - Possibly more nostalic value than anything, I can totally understand why people wouldn't like this game. Ultima: Exodus - NES - I used to be an Ultima nut. Was psyched to hear they were porting Exodus onto a console. Didn't live up to the computer version, but for what it was it certainly wasn't very bad. Baal - Amiga - I think people just don't like this based on it's difficulty. Once you get the swing of things, it's a mighty rockin' game. The Pawn - Amiga - With the excetion of the first Zork, I've never played a text-based game more that this. Which head would you like to touch? The hairy head or the bald head? Bard's Tale III - C64 - I could care less if the first two were better. I put Brilhasti ap-Tarj on my corn flakes, baby. My personal favorite of the series which tends to draw some confused glances among the older-school BT purists. Baby Pac-Man - arcade - This game was always available in the arcades. Even when it was new. I couldn't understand why people avoided it like the plague. A combination of Pac-Man with pinball? I wish more games combined the two!

If we're talking about platform gaming with boss characters at the end of each level, then Kung-Fu Master is probably right up there from 1984.

Bionic Commando was definitely one of the best games made on the NES, but the arcade version was absolutely terrible. Unless you can associate playing that game with a fond memory, I don't think you'll be able to change your mind on that one.

My son turns 6 in January. His favorites are Kario Kart: Double Dash, Super Smash Brother Melee (his all time favorite), TMNT 2: Battle Nexus, and Sunshine Mario.

Finally got around to finishing Tactics Ogre: Knights Of Lodis for GBA not too long ago. That final fight was absolutely rediculous.

What an awesome idea. I'm going to have to see if I can find my old bag of tokens. I have some cool early 80's Chuck E. Cheese and Funspot tokens, plus some of the rose-colored CEC test tokens usually used by the techs when somebody "loses a token" in a game. Gives me a reason to clean out the cellar...

Ever since I was a very little kid, I've been waiting for the ability to play Zoo Keeper on a console. Thank god they've finally released it. Now if we can just get Data East to release Hippodrome...
