  1. My son turns 6 in January. His favorites are Kario Kart: Double Dash, Super Smash Brother Melee (his all time favorite), TMNT 2: Battle Nexus, and Sunshine Mario.
  2. Finally got around to finishing Tactics Ogre: Knights Of Lodis for GBA not too long ago. That final fight was absolutely rediculous.
  3. What an awesome idea. I'm going to have to see if I can find my old bag of tokens. I have some cool early 80's Chuck E. Cheese and Funspot tokens, plus some of the rose-colored CEC test tokens usually used by the techs when somebody "loses a token" in a game. Gives me a reason to clean out the cellar...
  4. Ever since I was a very little kid, I've been waiting for the ability to play Zoo Keeper on a console. Thank god they've finally released it. Now if we can just get Data East to release Hippodrome...
  5. Yet another vote for Mega Man II...although Mega Man III is a close second with me.
  6. That Funspot isn't too far away from me. I was blown away when I heard somebody was actually THAT good at Pac Man.
  7. Wow wow. Metal Slug for Neo Geo. Impressive. I think Neo Geo is just too damn expensive for the common person to collect for. Who can afford Kizuna Encounter in their collection? I'm willing to bet SNES is going to be the next big thing.
  8. The owner of that room is a complete slob. Why go through the trouble of collecting only to just randomly toss all your crap around the room?
  9. I've heard a couple different stories for Donkey Kong... The most famous probably being the bad phone connection/fax connection which caused "Monkey Kong" to be mistranslated into "Donkey Kong". The more likely story is the maker of this game was looking for another word for "stupid". Obviously, Stupid Kong doesn't sound like a decent game title. (I forget the man's name) came up with the word "donkey" which he liked since the donkey is a very stubborn and wily animal. The Kong was part was taken directly from King Kong. As for how the name actually came about I have no idea.

    Megamania II?

This is probably a stupid question for you all, but I'm new at this... I was looking at some carts for sale on the 2600 and came across a copy of Megamania II (on the same cart as River Raid III). I've heard about a possible sequel back in the day, but didn't think anything had been released. Just wondering what the deal was with the game. Looks like it was released by Shock Vision.
  11. Can't remember exactly when, but it was Christmas of either '80 or '81.
  12. I read a great article about dumpster diving in 2600 magazine recently. Makes me want give it a shot.
  13. A 4-switch wood panel in wicked nice shape. Very clean. Also picked up these games: 3-D Tic Tac Toe, Asteroids, Bowling, Breakout, Centipede, Combat, Crystal Castles, Defender, Demons To Diamonds, Donkey Kong Jr., Football, Frogger, Kangaroo, Krull, Mario Bros., Misile Command, Ms. Pac Man, Oink, Pac Man, Q*Bert, Robot Tank, Space Invaders, Tank Plus, Video Pinball, Warlords, Winter Games, Worm War I, and Yars Revenge. Nothing too thrilling, but I'm just starting to get back into the 2600.
