That's a mind-boggling array of clones! I'm guessing the Channel F and its clones must have been more popular outside the US? It's interesting to note that with the Channel F and a few of the clones, the styling of the console, the font and design of the boxes it came in, and the combination joystick/paddle controller all seem very similar to what you see with the Bally Astrocade. Regarding the Pac Man cart, quite a while ago I posted a comment on one of the YouTube videos, just to say how impressed I was. I think I described it as a "stunning achievement," which it certainly is.

Those things are gorgeous! And at 4.45 inches tall, they're just about the right height for a diorama featuring Star Wars or GI Joe action figures.

TV shows from the old days were formulaic, just as they are today, but at least some of the old shows are enjoyable, 'cause good writing, directing, and acting still mattered. Anyways... I just visited Star Games on Powell Street for the first time earlier today. Thanks for recommending it! I can report that they do have a nice selection of games and peripherals for a variety of old systems, and the prices, while not as dirt cheap as what you'd find at a flea market, are certainly within the realm of reasonable. Also, it's kind of a new experience for me to be able to shop for vintage carts in an environment that's clean and well-lit, as opposed to the usual, moldy, dusty, thrift-store ambience. In addition to vintage carts and accessories, they also had a few gaming-oriented toys, a few older systems, FC Twins, and tons of modern games for modern systems. The modern stuff must surely be what pays their bills. Note that this is on a block of Powell Street in North Beach, as opposed to the parts in the Union Square/Tenderloin/Market Street areas. It's definitely worth a visit.

OK, I have officially taken this thread down to the lowest possible, least-interesting level of non-relevance. Who cares about my food preferences? I don't even find that interesting! If I want to waste people's time on the Web by telling them about my eating choices, I should have a Twitter account!

I think your average bologna must be made of better stuff than your average hot dog, 'cause I can happily eat bologna sandwiches all day long with no ill effect. On the other hand, every year or so, I forget how nauseous hot dogs make me, and I eat one, and it makes me nauseous.

"Tube-steak" means hot dog or sausage, doesn't it? That looks more like a bologna sandwich. Parenthetically, one of my ex girlfriends used to work at a restaurant, and one day she got this elderly couple sitting at one of her tables. The old man said "I don't see it on the menu, but I'm hoping you serve tube-steak. Which, to my girlfriend, meant "penis." She'd never heard the term used for anything else, and certainly hadn't been aware that it was an actual word for a type of food. From what I heard, the look on her face was priceless, and to this day she doesn't know how she managed to hold off the laughter until she was out of the couple's line of sight. True story.

What do you mean, "what's your point?" I was just responding to something somebody else said. As for you and everybody else here who has so much to say about what goes on in gay pride parades, how would you know, given that you've never been to one? You really should attend a gay pride parade. They're very festive events, and a good time is had by all.
