  1. Wait there was a portable NES? Where was I when this happened?
  2. I've never thrown a retro party. Just regular old, gaming ones in general but now that I see the way you set yours I definitely wanna throw one. I'd recommend doing a few other emulation based things outside of MAME for any systems you don't have or want to include but don't have enough TVs for.
  3. You planning on getting Battlezone 2000 or Chip's Challenge? Those were two good games for the Lynx.
  4. I heard from one of my friends that the car game is murder to play. Lol. I'd definitely take the cheats if I ever get the game as well, lol.
  5. I haven't played it yet but I have seen it played. I even looked it up, all the games are modeled after classic games but none of the games in this game ever existed in real life. But it looks like a real good game so I really want to play it soon!!! ^_^
  6. I'll check out what kind of processors I have when the hard drive gets here.
  7. This computer is an HP Pavillion yes. It runs on XP. My other computer is a Dell Inspiron with Vista, unfortunately enough, on it. My graphics card is an NVidia, but the hard drive in this was sent to me blank when HP repaired an issue with it. It used to run Vista so I stuck an OEM of XP in when I saw the hard drive no longer had an OS on it. Maybe the problem lies within there?
  8. I had a feeling you meant the Atari DS collection. No worries. ^_^
  9. Well then there's something wrong with this particular computer. Reality Boy won't work on it so when my other computer gets back I'll test it out on that one. Thanks.
  10. So according to ratings and rumors, Red Dragon is the best Virtual Boy emulator out there. I fail to see that. I dunno if it's the emulator or my emergency computer (My hard drive in my other computer recently died so I've been using a POS HP with a broken fan) but the emulator NEVER loads. Then to exit out I have to do Ctrl+Alt+Delete and go through the "This program is not responding. Send Error Report?" Can anyone help me with getting the Virtual Boy emulator set up and working properly? I'd appreciate the help.
  11. I don't like Acekard. That or DealExtreme is to blame but I was sent all the tools I needed for DS and GBA Emulation and the products sent all arrived in faulty, unworking conditions and then DealExtreme refused to help me when I asked for a replacement or a refund.
  12. Well, I guess you can't please everybody when it comes to collections. lol The Konami Classic game is great though. The games are tough as ever but it's hours of fun in the long run.
  13. I actually just picked up Konami Classics today. Right before I had my class. About six people passed the game around looking at the screenshots "Holy CRAP!!! I remember these games? Where did you get this?" So far this game brings about a nice assortment of addicting, classic gameplay. (Unrelated but similar note: Anyone planning on getting Retro Atari Classics for the DS?)
  14. Other firsts for me were Arcade: Galaga Sega Genesis: Sonic The Hedgehog 2 @Sgt. Pepper: What happened when your mom caught you and your brother?
  15. I literally screamed for joy when I saw that. A bit expensive but with enough scrapping and saving I would definitely make time to buy it. The days of my youth. Where did they go?
  16. Oh that is a nice find, bro. (is literally speechless)
  17. The first game I ever played was Super Mario World on the Super NES.
  18. I grew up around every possible video game from Atari 7800 and Lynx to NES all the way up to N64. I could play any classic game regardless of how good I did, so unfortunately I don't much in the way of explanation. But if I had to factor a guess, I'd say maybe she's not used to the gameplay or something since the Atari and Intellevision games are from a different generation than N64 and PSX.
  19. I have both the DS Lite and the DSi. The DSi is a very good bet, however, because it lacks a GBA slot you can't play Dual Slot compatibility games like Pokemon nor can you use the Rumble Pak on Rumble Pak games like Metroid Prime Hunters and Mario And Luigi: Partners In Time. So to decide you need weigh out whether or not you want access to GBA compatibility and if that's not an issue to you and you don't care, then I definitely say go with the DSi. It's definitely worth the money you'll pay. @aikiannet: Didn't the DS and DS Lite also only have one Touch Screen? O_O
  20. Looks like Wii is the least popular system in Modern Gaming. They should probably stick to Wii only titles like Mad World, Animal Crossing and Super Smash Bros. since those gain a pretty penny of popularity being strictly Wii based. Another reason I look at most Wii-makes being so low in selling or not being made at all is that based off a pattern I've seen in your first post and the sales of Wii-strict titles, 8 out of 10 people worldwide have an Xbox 360 and/or PS3 but no Wii. By this logic if a game releases on all three platforms the Wii will sell less copies. Not that I don't like Wii-makes, but to bring better business they should probably look into Wii strict games. Those sell pretty well.
  21. That's pretty lucky. My DSi has no real problems so I mostly use that one, but I am a bit overprotective of the DS Lite so it doesn't suffer anymore damage. Though I might eventually sell it in order to obtain Gamestop credit for a regular DS. Depends on how I'm feeling at the time really.
  22. Maybe, but maybe not. One of the hinges on my DS Lite is busted up so the screen wobbles around as if it were double jointed. So if I need to replace it (I have a DSi but I'm still keeping my GBA and DS Lite around) I might get Lime Green or the Red/Black one they released with Mario Party DS
  23. This happened back when I still lived in Tampa but I saw a low priced Sega Genesis console complete with controller and game cartridge (If memory serves me it was Sonic The Hedgehog or Sonic The Hedgehog 2) for what looked like roughly 30 or so dollars. It was that or 300. I don't remember cause it was like 3 years ago. But I do know I would've bought it at the time if I had had the money.
