I think the Lynx LCD is good enough as it is.

Shame Atari had'ent messed up with the 5200, and shame the game crash of '83 ravaged the video game market, because the 7800 could have been a sucsess.

I perfered the gamecube version my self. Pole Postition 2 is a must buy if you have a 7800.

Ghostbusters on the 2600 was a very good game.

@kroogur Same here, I'm hooked on the 7800, Ms Pacman is by far the best on the 7800, even Mario Bros is good!

I'm posting a new topic saying the 7800 was a good console, anyone agree with me?

I've just been browseing through the Atari 5200 section of the Atariage fourum, and I have noticed that the Atari 5200 vs ColecoVision topic has been closed, anyone got any idea why? If anyone's got a answer that would be really helpful, cheers!

@bojay 1997 The reason was cos the Jaguar 2 and 3DO M2 were both Sixth Gen consoles, I guess though the bits don't really matter, cos the Xbox was 32 bit, the ps2 was 64 bit, the 360 was 128 bit, etc... Fair enough, just a missunderstanding, no offence like.

Ok, but for me the important thing is processing power if you're gonna get all technical at the end of the day Peter Jackson's King Kong: The Official Game of the Movie is gonna be the same Peter Jackson's King Kong: The Official Game of the Movie wether you stick it in the DS, DS lite or DSi, so as far as I'm conserned the next DS I will be buying is gonna be the DS 2, I never had a problem with the first DS on day 1, so I don't see why I should spend £99 on a DSi, when I can play the EXZACT same games on a DS bulky without spending any money. It's just logic!

THERE IS ONLY 1 CONTESTENT, and that is Basic Math. Sure I like maths, I got a A+ in maths at school, but for a start the Maths is unbareibly Basic, but It is'nt even fun! And to tell you the truth, it aint the best desighned maths game or infact any game in the world either.

I liked the NES, but I perfered the 7800 myself, I was quite a fan of the Specky 'an all.

@Is650 I agree, the Game.com DEFINITELY is'nt the best of screens.

One thing I have never understood, is where Atari went wrong in the Mid-Late 80s, I belive that Atari's relationship with the likes of Activision and Parker Brothers alone could have saved them, I'm not gonna go into details because I really don't know that much about any of this post crash Atari business, but I fail to see where Atari went wrong, I mean it's just logic that Atari are going to be sucsessful after the sucsess of the 2600, I don't see how Atari could fail so badly after beating competition to the margin the 2600 did, I mean logic suggests, if you've got a 2600, you'll buy a 5200 just because of the brand, but anyway, quit the yibber, yabber and jibber, jabber, in a nutshell, WHY OH WHY DID ATARI FAIL IN THE MID-LATE 80S?!

I can't stress how unfortunate it was for the 5200 to be a faliure, the 5200 was awsome, should have been a sucsess.

Phoenix is a great game. Ahh the 2600... such good memories, Karate, Ssnake, Starfox and so on and so on. Brilliant console. 2600 rules!

Keep them! They look really fun. You'll never know till you stick them in you're Atari, switch you're TV on and press the reset button.

There is nothing to resist, why have 2600 games sitting around in boxes all they when you can actually play them?!

Had the 5200 jr accuatly been releaced, it could have done big things for the 5200.

@DracIsBack Simple really, just releace Super Atari Bros, and sell it as the Pac in for the 7800.
