  1. BTW, I've got an Offical Atari 2600 Jr. 128 In 1 Console, I'll see if I can find another one if you don't have the binary yet.
  2. Would they work with the 7800's Asteroids Built In Game?
  3. I Have a Very Late 7800 (August 1992) And that has a Standard Square power supply.
  4. UPDATE: I mailed this guy, these following questions: 1. I believe that Action Hi-Tech made Unlicensed carts in the Late 80’s and if They were made by you, does this explain Atari Australia, Pirate 128 in 1 Console that was released in 1991? I believe this console came with pirated Games and games that Atari Australia deliberately took the Activision logo Off the their games on this system to avoid copyright infringement? 2. I would like to also know how long the Atari 2600 and 7800 were sold to in Australia. 3. Was the Atari 5200 and Jaguar ever released or planned to be released in Australia. If they weren’t, Why? 4. I’d like to know the relationship Action Hi-Tech had with Rainbow Vision, which sold pirate cartridges in the 80’s. He Repiled With: Who are you and why do you require this information ? Please provide more information and I will attempt to answer questions. I know I won't get the answer, so can someone with a big Knowledge atari Status here on the boards, or has an extensive atari knowledge mail this guy if you want to know! He knows, but he's refusing to tell me, possibly because of why they supplied stuff to pirate cartridge makers, made pirate cartridges themselves and why they pirated Activision games in their 128 In 1 Console. He doesn't want to I guess becuase of COPYRIGHT INFRINGMENT they made!
  5. I've found out that before and during Tramiels Reign of atari, A company called Futuretronics Pty Ltd Managed atari. These Guys Were, Guess What? Called Action Hi-Tech in the 1980's!!! Atari Australia was controlled by Action Hi-Tech, the company that supposedly pirated games here and shows the links with Antic Magazine VOL. 2, NO. 12 / MARCH 1984 / PAGE 55 Atari Around The World Atari products are distributed in Australia by Futuretronics Australia Pty. Ltd. Unfortunately, Futuretronics seems to have little concern about the sales, marketing, user support or after-sale service required for computer products I found Futuretronics website (http://www.futuretronics.com.au/about.htm) and they Said about their History: Since the commencement of trading in June, 1986, Action Hi-Tech shich is now trading under the name Futuretronics, has experienced a steady growth to become Australia’s largest supplier of electronics game and computer controllers. LOOK Above, It says that Futuretronics traded has ACTION HI-TECH known as an Australian Maker of Pirate Carts! That Explains Atari Australia, Piratish Relationship with 128 In 1 Atari 2600 Consoles and their Relationship with RainbowVision Place all your questions to this guy, who in in Charge of Futuretronics: [email protected]
  6. I would have thought It could use the Defunct AV port on the Original Genesis (5 Pin DIN)
  7. I believe they were involved with the likes Of RainbowVision Espically, since RainbowVision carts have Atari Dust Covers. And also all the dodgyness with taking activisions logo off their games on the 128 In 1 Console. I'd like an Investigation into what was Atari Australia and NZ, Atari Computers Pty Ltd and their connections with pirate companies.
  8. Hows this, I'm playing halo with my friend multiplayer for about 3 Hours, turn it off for lunch, and I open the drive and the disk isn't their. It took me a while to get it out and gave up, turened it on and the disk was just standing their! However, the disk was severely scratched and unplayable. It looks like I'll be sending a complaint to Microsoft and I'll be expecting the "It's your own fault" Message back. Anyone else have this problem?
  9. Classic Games- Swapmeets, Flea Markets and Pawn Shops Modern Games - Normal Department Stores.
  10. In Reference To "Girly Games" I have EGM from February 2003 Here and it has a convincing letter to the Editor. Here it is: EGM February 2003 Edition #163 Letters to the Editor Games for the Gals Shame, Shame, Shame on all of you, thanks for marginalizing female gamers with your excessively patrionising list of "Relationship Bolstering" Games." Ohhh, Girls love Disney Chracters tp they'll love "Kingdom Hearts!" And how about Animal Crossing?, It's insanely cute, so the girls will go nuts for it! Why don't you go ahead and recommend some barbie games? My Husband and I have spent the last two days pumelling the crap out of each other in Mortal Combat Deadly Alliance. We haven't had so much fun since Mario Party 4. At our house, It's Not, "Honey, can you stop playing that game fpr a minute and spend sometime with me?, It's "You Cheap sun of a Bi+ch! (Furious Button Mashing), I'm gonna beat the living Shit outta You.... Thats half of it, I'm too lazy to type the rest of it, but if you want the rest of it, PM me and I'll send you a scan! EDIT Revision: You're right that about %70 of Girls/Women stereotype themselves, but thats still %30 of the population you think about. The games are their, they can play them if they wish. I didn't want this to start a flame
  11. This country is a population of 20 Million, and about only a third of that have a Game Console. Playstation 1 sold about 1.8 Million units here, N64 about 650,000. GB & GBA have always done great here, the GBA has sold Approx 400,000 Units and about only 30,000 GBA SP. BTW, These have been the most popular consoles here: 1. Megadrive (Genesis) 2. Playstation 3. Master System 4. Atari 2600. 5. SNES
  12. It's Truly Sad, it seems some stores are Slashing Prices and using "Clearance" Tactics to Gamecube Consoles and Games. My Local EB Games are Selling Brand New Units with one free Game for A$199 (US$120) at the moment while another Store Group is starting to reduce 1/3 of their games to A$29.99. This is due to Nintendo Australias "No Marketing" tactics. The only time I've seen a gamecube ad is at 2:00am! Compared to the Xbox and PS2 here it's dead basically Figures from January 2003 PS2: Released November 2000: Currant Price A$379:(U$210) 600,000 Sold XBX: Released March 2002: Currant Price A$329 (U$200): 350,000 Sold GC: Released May 2002: Currant Offical Price A$329 (U$200) 65,000 Sold It's sad, but it seems the Gamecube will be pulled for the Australian Market within a Year IMO if nintendo does nothing.
  13. Sega Ozisoft Did this in Australia and Sucseded Greatly, with the Master System holding still %15 of the Market in 1996 and The Megadrive (Genesis) %45 Of The Market. The NES was completely discontinues here in 1996, while Sega Ozisoft still had Warranty Cards dated 6/98 on the Master System. With Atari, Atari Computers Pty Ltd (Australian Division) Marketed the 2600 till Late 1993 and the 7800 til Mid 1993.

    ac plug

The Power Socket in your Atari Could be dodgy if the person that had it yanked the power supply cord out each time.
  15. I've found out that late PAL (After 1991) Atari 2600 Jrs. (128 In 1 Model Espically) and Late Atari 7800 output a strong enough signal to use no Box, therefore having a super clear picture. The only models I use that need a switchbox are the 6 Switch Woodys.
  16. Spectravision had to change their name to Spectravideo in 1982-83 to not be confused with a Hotel Entertainment Group (BTW they produced a hotel Atari 5200) that was named Spectravision. Some other companies did this to, like Arcadia/Starpath and their supercharger. They changed their name to Starpath because Emerson was releasing their console, the Arcadia 2001.
  17. I know theirs at LEAST 5 Others in this Area around me.
  18. I have an Atari 2600 Warranty Card Dated September 1992 and a Atari 7800 Manual dated August 92. Not sure about catalogs, however.
  19. It Also might be a clone of the Radofin 1292 System, from what the buttons are and the Cartridge shape. http://www.heimcomputer.de/english/konsole...adofin1292.html
  20. I found a Commodore 1084S Monitor with an Amiga 500 A While Back. I use it to play my Sega Saturn and PS1, The Sound Quailty is absolutely Fantastic and the picture is better then my 13" TV.
  21. Last Sunday I Found: Mint Atari 2600 With Pad and 128 Built In Games $19 Boxed Rare Blue Label Defender $1 Amiga 500 with Workbench, 100 Disks, Complete $5
  22. I Understand they are fairly rare, I seen one at an Auction but it went for A$75, and I wouldn't bid that much
  23. Gamecube Is Doomed here, Nintendo Australia Never figured out how to win the Australian Market, After Sega Killed them with the Master System an Megadrive, then Sony Let off the Playstation and nintendo was Screwed here. Our Countrys Main Retailer, Coles Myer as warned they will refuse to take the Gamecube next year if sales don't rise. A couple of Weeks ago Nintendo Sold 350 Gamecube Consoles in a Week. Now this is Pathetic compared with the Xbox 6000 and the PS2 about 6500 in a week. Nintendo Australia have always been Pathetic at Marketing, Putting Gamecube ads on at odd times like 2-5AM. I seen a Metroid prime ad on at 3AM last week, IT's NOT GOOD ENOUGH. You can't find a Gamecube for It's Recommended retail Price of AU$329, you can find it for as Low at AU$150 In Some Places and the games as low as AU$15 NEW! The Gamecube, unfortunately will die here by the end of this year unless some miracle comes up...
  24. I like the Epyx 500 Quite well. But I also like My non stiff CX-40 That i found mint, and the 7800 Pads.
