  1. Don't waste your money on a new TV, people are nearly giving them away on Craigslist. You can get a sweet 36" CRT for $50 - $75.
  2. I assume this is what you have right now? Well I don't see a Saturn on your list which is by far my favourite home console. The Jaguar isn't far behind for me as it has far more great games than people give it credit for and after all it was the last Atari console. I third the suggestion for a Saturn. The U.S. library is sweet and once you're done with that hit up the Japanese library for hundreds upon hundreds of additional unique titles. Shooters, fighters, RPGs, Saturn has it all. Plus just about the best control pad ever made.
  3. I've been playing Kid Chameleon all week, it gets my vote for the best 16-bit platformer of all time. These museum collections are pretty sweet, seems like they still have a long way to go though. There are individuals on the various forums with more complete collections than they have. Dream TR is basically a museum in himself.
  4. Nice and small but seems like it would be a bitch to play. The controller part looks lame. Same thing with the Firecore, sweet system with a better screen than the Nomad but the control pad just ain't right. It might be a little bigger but the Genesis 3 would have much better playability using OEM Sega brand controllers, especially the 6-button.
  5. The thing is they don't say this music was actually redone on a real SNES. They just say it's a representation of what it might sound like. IMO at this point the original Genesis tunes sound better but it would be cool to hear them being played from a real SNES console.
  6. I would go with the SMS or TG-16 just for the amount of excellent software both of them have. U.S. SMS has a ton of great titles but there are only 114 total. Once you expand to the worldwide library you easily double the amount of unique titles available. Plus no converter is needed, a U.S. SMS will play 95% of worldwide releases perfectly. TG-16 also has a small U.S. library, I don't remember the exact number of U.S. games bit I think it's around 125. This library is also full of great games. Not sure about the worldwide library for TG-16 but its Japanese counterpart, the PC Engine, was very popular and should easily double the game list for that system if not more. But I believe you need a converter to play PCE games on a TG-16.
  7. I've heard good things about them all but I only have one left, the one called "Game Converter". It's supposed to work great but I don't have any Famicom games to test it with.
