  1. Sorry! I am new to this whole forum business and even newer to knowing what system is what. Hmmm. I hate to point out the obvious (OK, yes, I do ) but your statement confuses me because you did know what system it was. You said it was on a Tandy or a Commodore. Both of those aren't Atari's. The only thing they all have in common is they is old as dirt. Actually, Tandy made several home computers, not all of them were Intel CPUs. For instance, the orginal TRS-80 (Trash 80) had a Zilog Z80 CPU. I'd like to try to get my hands on one of those for my collection. The later Color Computer (CoCo) was a Motorola 6809E. When the PC started to make a dent in the computer industry, they came out with their PC compatible, which if I remember wasn't that bad at the time. I remember a buddy of mine having one and playing EA's Starflight on it which was an awesome game. Like I said previously, old gamers sometimes know old games. I could probable get games from many 80's based computers and consoles. If you can remember anything more about the game, that would be helpful. The more details, the better. She doesn't know what it was on, trust me She knows this thread was supposed to be in classic gaming general, but didn't realize it was in Atari 8-bit until after it was posted in error, she only saw the 8-bit part. I doubt it was on an Atari, or Commodore since the disc they had played on two machines. It could have been a PC/MAC type of thing. I know even though I've not seen it, that her Tandy was a 286 because we had similar 1000s back then. In case you didn't notice Wolf is my wife AX The point I was trying to make with that statement is that the first system wasn't a Commodore I have no idea what it was. We had two computers when I was a kid the first one played the game in question in black and white. The second was for sure a Tandy it also played the game with the same floppy but it was in color. It was not Wolfenstein that I would have remembered.

  3. Is it this game? http://nitros9.lcurtisboyle.com/castleoftharoggad.html If it isn't, look here.. http://nitros9.lcurtisboyle.com/coco_game_list.html It is not the first game needs to be more mid-evil with doors and I didn't see it on the other list.
  4. It was a graphical text adventure. It showed you a picture with three openings some times it would be three doors other times would be two doors and a stair case it asked you right left or center and you typed in what you wanted. If you picked a door and there was a monster inside then you had to type fight or run. If you fought and won then you got points if you lost then the game was over and you started at level 0 there were 100 floors that you had to get to. When you played it on the Commodore it was in black and white on the Tandy it was in color. The end was a picture of a gray castle with a blue sky green grass and the words You win in black letters.
  5. When I was a kid we had this game that we all played it was on a 5.25" floppy that we played on the Commodore then on the Tandy. It was an adventure game that started in the dungeon of a castle and you had to work your way to the top by answering questions like Right left open door ect. There were monsters to fight or run away from. You won the game if you chose all of the right paths and made it out of the castle. I need to know the name of this game and I know that this is the perfect place to ask.
