  1. Hmm, maybe Philip make some innovations on his site, and the URL change. Please look on the above link. On the middle of his web page you will find the English translation.

    http://www.santellocco.com/atari/consigli-sio2sd.htm

Is known from the beginning of this thread, cause isn't "APE" compatible. The reason is cause AtariMax use proprietary code masked on its sio2pc device.

I believe cause somehow have entangle how working the 2 modes of this device. One part is the SIO2SD, and an other the SIO2PC. The data speed who mention above, is for the sio2pc device, and I believe is great if this work without errors for you.

The last known firmware from the designer of this project is still the 3.1RC2.

  2. I'll be interested to hear how Ninja Golf works once you get your cart running. If you do need to patch it to get it to work, just search for "A9 16 85 7E" in a hex editor, and change the $16 to $15. You'll also need to re-sign the binary.

Thanks. You are great! :)

  3. This time the PCB I found is a C100339 (http://www.atarihq.com/danb/7800cart/C100339.shtml) and to desolder the ROM I did such a poor job that I thought I trashed it .... seriously I lifted and broken 4 traces, I lifted almost all solder pads, this PCB was such poor quality (or just plain old) that the solder sucker would stick to the soldering pad and suck them away ....

Indeed, this pcb is of very cheap quality. You dont need to desolder something as to identify it. Just open and close with solder 2 - 3 times the jumper points. Is enough to destroy it.

  4. The sure is that drive the latch using A0,A1,A2 address lines, in relation to Atari which use the data lines D0,D1,D2. Also make use of the A13 line.

Yes we agree. I just mentioned cause it have more than 3 address inputs.

  5. Hello.

Can anyone know about the Activision's memory bank switching method? I mean how it handle the logic on its cartridge as to work.

The sure is that drive the latch using A0,A1,A2 address lines, in relation to Atari which use the data lines D0,D1,D2. Also make use of the A13 line.

I see cause the 2 known games work on Cuttle Cart and some emulators, so I believe that logic has been decoded.

    Any help? :)

  6. Hi Marcin.

Although some time a go Lothar ask me about it, I must admit cause is the first time who I hear through you that there is so much interest! :)

I have speak also with the Author "Bernd Herale" about that, and It seems that it has no objections.

So yes, I can handle it with great pleasure! Of course someone should undertake to raise the money from interested members, in case of group purchases.

Money which will not receive, prior prepare all the orders. ;)

Now if you can organize a group buy on Atari Poland, I would glad to make the cartridges for them.

    Thank you, Panos.

  7.

I did not use a timer, but I remember it felt like quite a long time. Definitely longer than 15 minutes.

Ok Marius, the question became as to understand if you make use of SIO patch switch, or not! Now with the SIO patch "on", you need this exact time to load the cart. In other case the time goes double. ;)

As for the second part of your question, have ask from the first beginning Bernd for a "usb flasher" solution. But is really too busy on his real life as to can deal with it. :( Ok I understand him, after all Atari is for our fun. ;)

And finally yes, the 512Kb Megacart version is a solution, half-hearted but solution  . The problem is cause not produced any more, and if someone ask me to make a batch from those, I really prefer to participate on a USB Flasher project. ;)

  8. I would like to buy one of these loaded with games as I probably could not figure out how to work it on a pc so it would stay the way it is forever. How many games can go on it? Would they all work with a 64k ram 600xl?

Hi. At the present time isn't available for sale. :(

Yes it work just fine with the 64k ram upgraded 600XL, but only for standard memory games. I mean not for those who need extra ram, like 128k or 320k.

The quantity of loaded games have to do with the size each of them. Calculate and make the total!

  9. Hi CloakandDagger, and thank you very much for your good words my friend.

I believe cause PacManPlus have find the way as to make his game on a cartridge form. Make a better search on A7800 forums, and you will understand me. ;)

One more time thank you. :)
