  1. So my question is how hard would it be to find a way to switch a "fix" bank 6 on the $4000-$7fff with the Pokey [maybe this could be its own switch], I am afraid that the fact that Pokey just maps 16 addresses over the whole space made you design the PCB so it may be quite hard to retrofit the remaining decoding logic.

    I understand this could be the beginning of a multicard, but it seems what you did is so close that what would be needed to complete it almost begs to be done ;-).

    This is also my question my friend. I am not a programmer as to know how, and if someone could inform us a successful way to do it, is very simple to me to redesign a new pcb as to be available for everyone. ;)

    And believe me this pcb will have a more "magic way" :-D to change all the banks of 27C080 eprom, plus the Pokey address, but this is another story.....

    Your parcel need 10 days until arrive.

  2. @grisp03

    Hey... I try to respond in friendly and humor spirit Dave. :thumbsup: Of course and not seen something of your spoken as negative. :thumbsup:

    @Firedawg

    Yes this is obvious! But what can I do if someone not see this, except to dealing with fun? ;-)

    @AtariFriend

    Have you developed something in the past? Except the funny icons. :P

  3. My point on P/N operation is for the case who need to sell it in the future. With this way will have more opportunities. Also dont forget cause this cart is limited to few pieces only, so some time in the future -and why not in the present- ιt can be termed rare. :)

    You know I not have a factory nor the time to make those by the dozen! :P :D :D

  4. Dear Magic Knight, honestly I don't know if this is possible. But just out of respect to 6 members who have already purchased this cartridge, not intend to do that.

    I would be happy to see someone else to do an implementation with this add-on feature.

    Thanks for the awesome tune. :)

  5. Nobody talks about those because those people paid too much. This game isn't quite that rare. It's normally worth about $18 depending upon condition. What you're doing is nice, but it's not in heavy demand, so the higher price isn't going to help.

    Unfortunately the asking price here is not determined by its rarity or not. ;) Ηas to do with the actual cost needed to build. Also I should remind to everyone cause I'm not one who started comparing mine construction with the original construction of Atari. Nor speaking about rarities etc....

  6. I know a long time ago a member by the name of Tizoc modded a Sentinel PAL cart into an NTSC cart. I would have asked Tizoc directly, but I noticed he/she hasn't logged on for 5 years. So I am wondering if anyone knows what the best way to go about this.

    I assume that a NTSC prototype .bin would have to be loaded onto an EPROM and soldered into the PAL case, but what options are available to get the EPROM?

    Is an Sentinel NTSC .bin file available?

    Would this be something AA's "Custom Atari 7800 Cartridge" service do?

    Grasp it!

  7. Ok no hard feelings, and believe me I wish the dollar was equivalent to the euro! :( Then would be 38 euro for 38 dollars and not for 50! :(

    And you know better cause here in Europe we buy and sell in euro unfortunately.....

  8. $50 for a $20 cartridge? Odd.

    AtariFriend you know, I have seen in the past on Ebay many Commando carts for 50 and 60 dollars. But nobody talks about these..... :( .

    Also we speak for 20 years used cartridges, who support only one or the other version. ;)

  9. Great work, but I don't know about the price, I mean if you look hard enough, you can get these for half the price. :?

    Or less, if you are patient...

    Does it support 512K bankswitching, like the original Commando board?

    My friend I would not want to go into such a discussion with their corresponding cartridges sold on ebay. Εxcept that talking about second-hand used 20 years old cartridges, those are the standard PAL or NTSC versions.

    My try-work is to make not an exact copy of original, but a better pcb, with a special decal, and with worldwide support PAL/NTSC. Also not forget cause is a new never used cart, plus the pcb is far better from those of Atari.

    Also if you want to speak for cost, you can try to make one like this and determine how much it will cost you. I don't make a large production from that, and to collect all the parts from USA mainly and China, cost quite a bit.

    Yes it support 512K bank switch like the original, plus x2 thanks to 27C020 eprom.
