Yes I have same question.
Frankie has already paid. I send you pm.

is this cart being made instead of the 4 in 1 or is this additional?
Is made instead of the retrobits 4 in 1, but is more advanced from that and from my first one version of 5 in 1.
For info please read the first post here.
I'm interested in purchasing one. I've sent a PM to you. Thanks.
PM replied.

@Fratzengeballer
I am very jealous that I am not on party with the other guys!
If someone from the members who buy the first OSS cart want also a free decal from this one, then let me know it.

I have an update info.

A new hardware OSS multicart is available! Please look on the link.

Hello.

As all you know before some time I decide to open a thread with main subject “What cartridge re-pro do you prefer?”.
After,, I saw cause the main interest is on utility cartridges and among other the OSS ones. Rdea6 member from here, give me the right direction as to where to find some info about this.
Then I met the retrobits.net, and specific an area with all these OSS cart utilities. Immediately I communicate with author Dan, which from the first time was incredible cooperative, something who believe me is not common today. Dan was the main axis as to make this multicart. He send photos, roms, literature, and everything else which could be help. At some point propose me to unsold all parts from one of his carts, just to see the traces of pcb, as to be possible to redesign it. Hopefully isn't needed.

Then 10 first prototypes produced. These was identical to the original produced by OSS, plus had a one button selector switch, and a 7 segment display as to indicate what utility is in use. The hardware beside this is an Atmel ATtiny 2313 micro controller, of which the program initially wrote a friend from here local (thanks Nick), and after completed by me. Also a hidden menu to indicate the serial number added.
Designing the pcb for the next and final order from it, I thought to add the “point” of seven segment display to blinking. This was a nice effect and make the cart more liveliest! Yes after I see it, shows like to be there lively
and not lifeless.
In the meantime tf_hh Juergen member from here, p.m me with a proposition. Juergen in the past tried to make an OSS multicart using as a base the XE Super cart pcb, and a Gal which will include all the 3 logic ic of the original OSS cartridge. He wrote all the code for the Gal, name it “OSS All in one Solution”, and publish all his work on German Abbuc magazine.
Everything worked perfect for him, but one day received a mail from a very close friend, cause his solution as exact any of the original OSS cartridge, isn't compatible with some older hardware.
To be precise with the original SDX cart, Polish ARC, and some internal Atari real time clock buildings. After that Juergen with the help of Hias, add to his logic all these corrections as its solution to be 100% compatible with this older hardware. The problem was about the A4-A7 address of the Atari computer.
Ok after that I redesign the pcb based on his Gal ic, and the result is a 5 in 1 OSS proper cartridge.
This has 5 tools options, plus a sixth cartridge off option without remove it at all! The point symbol on 7 segment display is blinking if some tool is selected. Last is 100% compatible with these old hardware, in case who someone want to use it.
A new decal is also available thanks to creative of another member from here KevinMos3. Kevin kindly offered to make a proper decal based on the original and some own ideas. Of course his excellent work must and will be print and cut professionally on a glossy decal.
Below I attach some photos from the new OSS multi cartridge. One of that have the final decal on it, but because is a sample, may have some imperfections who would not exist on the final one. This will available to me on Monday.
The new case have by the manufacturer a "light grey" color, but to be honest in my eyes
look more as "frost white". To be more understandable, compare it versus an A4 page is darker.
Ok from now on everyone would like to have one of these, pm me for the details. The same interest list from the first thread will add here.
Thanks for looking.

But how are you sure cause I have order that from China?
:P
Not the Spring festival but their inability is the reason why everything has gone back.

So I must to order in another factory with which I have worked in the past . For now I have not a plan on when they are ready.

problem will not in eprom, but in pia.. signals S4, S5, RD4, RD5 fights in one bus..
Ah Ok, my supplementary post based on first paragraph in your post #19. Now I see.

-
Would like to add cause if you have look carefully my post #11, your friend would have been spared a looooooooot
of trouble. So, when someone ask for help, maybe is better to see the writings!
Unless of course you just want to play the little electrician with your Atari!

-
Why do you ask? Do you need for you?
-
You need this in above link. Very usual in some variations, also on Commodore monitors. It is Chinese reproduction switch because original German manufacturer PREH, not make it more.

The same thing on a friends XL machine, with 2 x 27C256 eproms piggy backed. Initially thought cause fail the selector switch, but finally the eproms was bad.
Of course I will replace with one 27C512 for the 4 OS's.

@flashjazzcat
I can confirm cause placing the Lothar's version of Ultimate 1MB in 800XL with my way, the upper lid close perfect!
Side day by day becomes more interesting.

Ok, I make an open proposal to all from here. Taratarataraaa...

If Sebastian support this, how will see the idea for an internal version of Side especially for Ultimate 1MB XL owners? A version without the SDX and real time clock. Only the main circuit in a form which could placed inside the computer directly to the cartridge slot with no solder points
.In upper side of pcb there will be one cartridge connector free to place any other cart on the fly. Of course Sebastian must modify his firmware code as to allows to disable the Side. Maybe within Ultimate setup menu??
-
Yesterday a friend of mine gave me the new (from Lothar) "Ultimate 1MB", plus a "stereo final" upgrade to install on his 800XL. Finally I was able to place it, near the initially position as on first batch from Sebastian.
To avoid the bunch and also to look better, I cut and remake the ribbon cables to optimum lengths. Also placing in this position the pcb, battery socket on bottom used as a second foot for better support.
Because I have make this upgrade in my 2 Atari 800 and 600 XL, I will let you know cause the Lothar edition, is impossible to fit on this place as is in stock form! I mean with standard IDC connectors on ic sockets. Maybe someone has a better luck using angled ones.
I attach some pictures above without comments. Please take a look...

Hi Marius. Yes, but what is the problem with the list?
-
Thanks both for your answers.
I thought cause this thing operates according the logic of 1050 drive, but anyway I can live also as is!
I can choose another drive as D2 etc, and all work good. -
Hmm.. Roy we say the same thing. Maybe with my bad English not formulate it well!
Ok please set your sio2sd as ID 2, Atari 1050 as ID1, and connect together on your Atari.
After place a game on each one and power on your Atari. What you see? Normally only the 1050 must be load the game. In mine condition I have a purple screen with a boot error.
This will never happen when I connect two 1050 together with a different ID! Am I wrong?
-
Hello. I am in a strange situation.

Can anyone knows for what purpose is the device ID on SIO2SD? I mean the option on the configuration menu who change between 0-1-2-3.
In my setup I have one 1050 as device "0", plus a sio2sd as device "1". If I place from one floppy on D1 in each device, then with command DIR from Sparta Dos X all devices run, and kaboom.
Why all devices run simultaneously since they have different ID? The same also with my second 1050 or another sio2sd.Is a firmware issue of SIO2SD?
The thing look to work correctly only if I use the second floppy D2 and empty the D1 on SIO2SD.
Have anyone try this?

Thank you Marius.

Also your cart have a unique 2 digit serial number. To access it press the tact switch for 1.5 sec, and power on simultaneously!

-
What is our current interest total as it pertains to achieving the goal of 50 units?
Ok, more 50 devices is elusive goal.
I will make some more just to meet the needs for now. About 25 more devices. Also an update cause every device have a unique serial number, stored on firmware. Someone can access it with........
