Well got my joystick after 16 days! But all is well with it and it fells like the sony one . Also checked readings on the joystick and for left is 2.5V so When I move the PSP joystick left the voltage is less than the upper threshold of 3.4V1 and the expected comparator output is driven low by the resistor of 10K. I'm getting the ?'s I am just taking it one step at a time so I don't get mixed up. -Dylan

Are you sure you are using NTSC carts[if you can please put up a pic of the top and side label of the carts that you tried]? Also you might want to try another TV(might have something to do with it). -Dylan

Isn't the VIC-20 kinda the same as the comm 64 but just made by a different company? -

First I would open it up and look at the controller port solder joints, b/c there could be a cold or loose joint. If so grab your soldering iron and restore those joints. -Dylan

Just a few Games that I always like to play and highly recommend them: +Rampage World Tour +Quest 64 ( kinda like Legends of Zelda and RPG) +Donkey Kong 64 (Adventure) -Dylan

Here is one that uses TTL and stretches pulses, also fairly simple. -Dyan

Found this, I have a lot of those parts but just wondering if its legit -Dylan

Check that the 6507 and TIA have power too. Do you have a logic probe? If so, check the cart is being accessed and that the 6507 comes out of reset. Is there any other way to check it b/c I don't have access to a logic probe. I can get another atari at the flea market as there are lots of them pretty cheap but I was hoping I could get this one working. Either way is fine. -Dylan
-
Have you checked the output voltage is 5v and that its input voltage is above 7.5v? Battery V=8.8 and input to atari V=5.0 so what else could be wrong with it? -Dylan
-
Yep thats what I used from the book. I will check the Vs when my Dad gets off work at 5AA Time as he has it with him. -Dylan

By "cheap" do you mean "affordably priced" or "of poor quality"? Is there an alternative to Hong Kong made parts? I mean affordably priced. I've not investigated sourcing PSP joysticks. I've only ever replaced the case and LCD on one. Well I bought mine on ebay from hong kong a week ago and its still not here so that is the only thing I am waiting on so I can get this show on the road. I am sorry that it has been kinda slow. Anyway got the 7805 Reg. hooked it up and it is still not showing up on screen. Any ideas? -Dylan
