  1. that might leave room for a sequal! lol
  2. i AM a programmer, just not really a atari 2600 one. i just wanted to #1 know if this was a good idea #2 can i do it in bB...
  3. i just had an idea for a game. would it be possible to make a first person '3D ish' game with bB? if so then this idea may be worth looking in to: a 3D pacman game like tunnel runner! same kind of gameplay as tunnel runner, but with the pills and some ghosts. i just thought i should share this idea.
  4. I think Kaboom is one of my FAVORITE 2600 games. lol. It takes skill to be good at it. My high score is just over 4600. And as for adventure, i love that game too. Before anyone says anything about it, I just want to say: Basic Programming is a fun little cart and it does not suck! And it is not a game! Im going to call the adventures of tron overrated.
  5. you must have internet access and a computer. how else would you have gotten bB? lol thats why this is a great idea.
  6. my computer runs on windows xp =]. i would be VERY greatful if you were to make an installer. I want to program the atari 2600 sooooo badly. lol
  7. I would be very interrested. Until someone makes an installer program that might be my only way to use bB (i cant set up the darn thing).
  8. oh man i like this! sum1 needs to make super mario like this!
  9. no lol. i have no clue what the problem is. =] but im pretty sure its the batch files, cuz i get the same error/errors.
  10. Well, im happy to have stimulated this conversation. lol. All this needs at least would be a batch file that copies everything and sets everything up. Or a program that does the same thing. Maby if the Visual bB doest not work for inclusion, you can use the other ide on the website. In the end, I think batari Basic should be downloaded, installed, and run right out of the box. No assembly required.
  11. THANK YOU! I will try this out.
  12. THIS IS ABOUT TO DRIVE ME NUTS!!!! I can not get this to work! I run 2600.bat and all i get is an error '| was unexpected at this time' I have tried everything i can think of and it wont work... im about to just give up on this.
  13. Hello, I have been trying to set up Batari Basic on my windows xp computer, but i am a little confused. I download the version 1.0 put in c:\atari2600\bb\ and moved sed and set environment variables and all that stuff, but it still wont compile even with the ide. i just get a 0kb file. can any1 help me? I think this is a VERY GOOD idea. so far all ive been able to do with my 2600 is make a few games a calculator and other simple things with my 'Basic Programming' cart. I think that you should make an 'installer' program for batari basic. that would make it easier for people like me to get started right away. also maby try including an ide that is already set up with the compiler. thanks
