Mad Mike killed crash landing his home made rocket. It just had a certain sense of inevitability about it.

You are a bold and courageous person... afraid of nothing.
High on a hilltop near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted... but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the top most window in the tower of the old house.... You decide to investigate, and you never return.

I feel bad today because even all our efforts, doctor told me my wife has near to zero hopes because brain cancer advances, cannot receive more radiotheraphy, and the chemotheraphy only helps for the lung.
-
I'm very sorry to hear about your wife's struggle.
Please check out Joe Tippen's protocol. The protocol sounds nuts, but his facebook support group has reported successes with various cancers. [edit - before you dismiss it, know that it started with a Merck researcher curing cancer in a mouse study, and later in herself, as a last ditch effort]

I _REALLY_ am tired of this elitist attitude that permeates the homebrew communities that implies that "I am so awesome, that releasing code would tarnish my awesomeness."
Seriously, get the fuck over it.
You will not get rich selling homebrew games.
What you WILL do, is continue to silo important knowledge that should be shared and improved upon, to the detriment of all.
And no, don't bother replying with a defense, there is none; only a stark ugly revelation of character.-
Yeah, releasing source code is the way you pay back for the free and open code, tools, and examples, that every community has.
Having released much homebrew code, I appreciate there's certainly an amount of humility involved in releasing it. One often rushes through certain sections of code, and not everything is pristine or perfectly architected. This is made much worse when you're less familiar with the problem-space that you're working in. Also, tight 6502 code is always going to be a bit spaghetti.
If the code works without bugs or performance issues, you don't bother going back. Or at least I don't bother going back. I consider my personal coding hours one of the system resources too, since I don't have an infinite supply.
I just hope that people reading my source code do so with a bit of generosity of spirit. If in the end they think I'm a dummy, oh well. At least I know I'm not.

Daimler-Benz is stopping all R&D on internal combustion engines! How cool is that?

When you search for Emacs and get links to potentially malware ridden X-rated sites with all the usual naughty keywords, you start to question your preferred choice of text editor...

Realtime With Google Analytics. Might be my imagination, but it seems like my web site is getting more visitors since switching from http to https.

From that very same screen, you can click a button that deletes the receipt from your email. You can't turn it off. There's no way to delete trackings without losing receipts. So you need to manually back up each and every receipt email you want to save, and then delete it. I'd call all of that a dark pattern.

Gotta love (hate really) the new SMR drives that CANNOT PHYSICALLY WRITE SEQUENTIALLY. They have to clear blocks just like in SSD, but only 140x slower.
In fact, these drives have to be trimmed and optimized.
-
For sure. First thing I did about learning about these things was look up the details.
I'm just going to avoid them for now. It seems they're more sensitive to vibration, and I don't trust that they'll have the same lifespan as more traditional drives. Maybe after some more years of other people testing them out for me, I'll take another look.

I can't believe this: https://www.google.com/search?q="Hey+hey+hey!+Nerf+Basketball+is+here+to+stay!" Millions of Americans who lived in the 1970s are still alive, and I'm the only one who remembers that?
