  1. 1) Buy Cybermorph. 2) crack the case open. 3) buy a skunk and flash P1 to it. 4) put the skunk in the cybermorph case. I have a skunk board. I like having dedicated cartridges with labels. That way I can expand all my crap all over the house. Seriously, after we take a week's rest or so, we'll think about it. Honest
  2. In what way is this related to the thread topic btw? Create another thread if you like and we'll discuss.
  3. The video has been withdrawn mostly because it wasn't valid html the way we linked it with our CMS.
  4. I guess there's not much more to say, just head over our site, download, share, enjoy, and positively don't sell it Opinions, flames, raves, constructive criticisms follows after this post!
  5. Well, keep in mind that what we are about to release is the content for level 1 only (plus titles etc), so it's still a good months till we hit final release. Then we can talk again about a cart release. Who knows, maybe you guys will think it'll stink so bad, it won't be worth the silicon As for manual and box....... I really doubt that. Unless you want a 32-page manual saying "You see the screen? See some shapes dancing around? Yes? Well, SHOOT THE HELL OUT OF THEM! Repeat till level's done. Proceed to the next." (well yeah, we can include a 30-page ego trip to fill the rest of the manual, but we're already too chuffed, so I doubt it'll do us any good )
  6. Is that thing photoshopped?

  7. Is that thing photoshopped?

  8. Like I wrote above, it wasn't just the piracy....
  9. Yyyyyyyyyeah, that and some other various reasons....
  10. bra .still_alive by any chance? Aww you just gave away the most crafty bit of the source code. Now people will steal it and make carts for huge profit :(
  11. Glad you got that straightened out. I still miss the freejag II bit
  12. I played Atari today and... ...Project One kicked my ass totally! Then I used ctrl+f on scroll.s and commented out a line, and reassembled. Sorted
  13. What a great idea - I assume you mean a friendly environment where you can ask a polite question and get a polite, helpful reply from others without being attacked and branded by certain ignorant folk - Yes, I agree, and I'm sure so will many other people. Nice suggestion Dan! Thanks for putting it on the table :-) I'm struggling hard to find a minus point too - please proceed as proposed!
  14. Due to some design decisions we took, it's simply not possible at this time. Couple that with the fact that no Reboot member has a JagCD to experiment, our answer is simply "Sorry, no can do"...
  15. Hi all, Just popped by to inform you that level one has entered beta testing! What does that mean exactly? (skip to the last paragraph if you're bored reading all this crap!) Well, the code has entered feature freeze, so nothing major being done apart bugfixes and tweaks to the gameplay as more feedback is gathered (well that's a lie, Morden has added tweaks to the code that will make it look ever better than it was! But as a general rule, we don't change the specs too much). We now have a boot screen, a loading screen (none of the static and boring "LOADING" logos you've seen in games), a title screen, the main game itself, and a quite original (even if we say it ourselves) pause screen. The source code files alone are close too 400k in size! As for the gfx, kZa has been drawing all month like a maniac, trying to visualize our crazy ideas. Currently the map alone is around 800k (tiles & data), and we've got all kinds of fonts, logos, backgrounds, fonts etc crammed in there so everything looks good for us! (we hope you will agree with our standards:)). Musically we recruited Dubmood and 505 to help us talentless saps at creating something more that goes bleep-bleep-bleep Initial feedback from the playtesters showed that not everyone likes the default level of difficulty as much as we do, so we included 3 difficulty settings. Although myself and Morden (oh and remo too) think that even the hard setting is doable . The waves design is halfway through. So far there isn't a wave repeated twice, so you won't get bored shooting the same enemy formations over and over again. IIRC there are 7 different enemies in there, each with different firing patterns and toughness. Of course, that's not counting the stationary targets and the obligatory boss gfx! Finally, the game will be released in .ROM format, which will be 4mb big. Each level will be released when completed, so we'll release new files for each of the level complete. Did I bore you? Let me try to summarize it in 25 words or less then!: Project One Level 1: Soon out now, stay tuned!
  16. I see the words and the jargon is all in that post, but it's definatly a case of the lights are on but the property is long vacated. There is an old saying that goes "If my grandmother had te*****es, she'd be my grandfather". That said, Atari should have opted to use the Quad4 CPUS and those 1ghz memory modules and bus... it should have saved them a world of problems. What were they thinking.....
  17. Maybe those stores had their fingers burnt by atari stuff and they had bad experience.
  18. So, this means a highscore table for a Skunk game can only be saved to the PC. Is that correct? Well if we ever do a cart version we can add code for saving in an EEPROM. You know, we do have the source code to the game Depends on what versions of the game we'll release. But for the skunkboard I don't think we have any other viable solution atm. Step up KSkunk/Tursi to say otherwise
  19. You got 2 days or it didn't happen! I'm lazy. You're right, it didn't
  20. Well I can't post pics of mine atm, because I lent it to the guy who cased it for me, bu here's what we did: For months now I had the skunkboard completely unprotected, which was generally fine. But a couple of weeks back, while I was trying to setup my jag with the miniusb cable plugged on the skunk. Long story short, I managed to pull the cable slightly and both the cable and the miniusb connector was left in my one hand and the rest of the skunkboard on the other Luckily I have a good friend who I immediately took it to. After some damage control we concluded that the connector would be pretty difficult to be soldered back to the skunkboard, and we noticed some small holes close to the connector. Tracing those holes we found that they connected to the usb cable, so we took the decision and chopped off the connector, and soldered the 4 wires directly on the skunkboard (yes, my friend has the experience & hardware to perform that ) After that is was time to put it on a cart shell. We chose (what else?) to mutilate a cybermorph cart (hehe)! While trying to fir the board in there we got into the same trouble as anyone else: the six pins and the extra usb ports got in the way and wouldn't let the cart to close, plus they were bending the pcb a bit). Instead of cutting the cart plastic, we decided to take another route: we snipped the 6 pins a bit and desoldered the usb connectors completely (when and if they get used, we can solder them back again!). Finally we cut the plastic at the top left (circular bit) and let the usb cable come out from the left et voila Pics when I get the chance to
  21. I'm sure it's quite possible depending on the forum software and/or how skilled one is at combing through the forum database. As it stand here, though, I can tell you that no PMs are read by anyone other than the intended parties. It doesn't take much in the way of skill to read PM's out of a forum database. That implies that you have access to the database, and only forum administrators have that, not global moderators...
  22. Do you have that kind of experience with shit so you can predict that?
