"If" there will be an FB3, it will be a 7800 system and would be portable.
If...

Why no love for 5200 games?

I've too many power supplies!
Here's what I have done with my power supplies since I collect about every console out there: I use a gold fine point paint marker to write which system(s) each power adapter goes to on each adapter (usually a side location due to labels and plugs). This way I don't end up making any costly mistakes.
Some, like Jaguar and Genesis model 1 fit multiple systems, so I mark them accordingly.

FB1 is a respectable PNP. I have one and the games are good 2600 ports.

Ok, so even if you get a rebuilt 5200 controller, I'm assuming that turning corners with the loose joystick in games like Pac-Man, or making precise moves in any 5200 game, would be really difficult. Is that correct? Because I've never played a 5200, but I have used the 2600 joystick, which is digital, like the one that you can get with, say, an Atari 800XL.
Get a 5200 and you will be glad you did. The controller haters are to be ignored. If the sticks seem "loose", get some replacement rubber boots from Best Electronics and the sticks are self centering. Pac Man and Ms. Pac Man play nicely with my refurbed stock Atari sticks.

Hi
My name is Sean . I have been off for along time and have not been up here for almost two years.
Anyways I want to post my heavy Sixers which one of them is very old.
My First Heavy Sixer has the Serial Number of 57020 E
My other Heavy Sixer has the Serial Number of 74678 G
Anyways you can ADD them the the List if you want too.
Thanks Your old Friend Sean
No sense in posting them since the list never gets updated anyway.

I've never heard of anyone taping a Christmas Card to the outside of a box before. I'd be afraid the card would come off and be lost in the mail. Funny that they made you pay for a first class stamp.

..Al
I think the only reason the card went on the outside was because it was an afterthought. The package had already been wrapped when it was discovered that the card had been left out.
Put enough tape on a card and it will survive the trip.

Here's a lesson learned with USPS a few years back.
When sending a package to a person at Christmas, and if you want to send them a Christmas card as well, make certain to put the card inside the package. My wife shipped a Christmas present that had a card in a separate envelope taped to the outside. They charged her an additional first class stamp on top of the package fee. Lesson learned, so now all cards go inside the box with the gift at Christmas time. That way, we only pay for the package shipping fee which is high enough anyway to begin with.

I picked up 5200 Zaxxon for $2 at a charity thrift store shortly before Christmas.

Will be waiting to see the artwork, then maybe we can venture a guess...

Please say the FB3 is going to have a 2600 cart slot and preloaded Imagic and Activision games.

Yes, scavenge from a non-functional Atari 2600.
Also it takes a lot of soldering. And plastic shell cutting.
I wish I had known. I had a non-working console that I bought at a yard sale over the summer. Something was bad with the main board and it looked like somebody had stored it in a barn because it was so dirty. I should have kept the cartridge connector. Instead, I threw out the innards and only kept the outer case as a spare.

Man this thread was getting some serious responses until somebody moved it. Was better under the 2600 section.
-
Are these easy to mod with the 2600 cart slot? Would I have to scavenge one from a 2600 console?

Saw one today at a used game store for $12.50. Is that a good deal?
Yes, if its boxed its worth it.
Didn't see a box. It only had one joystick. Did these come with two sticks when new?

Word of warning: Viewpoint is very difficult, based upon my experience on a Neo Geo emulator version.
But I agree, Viewpoint is Zaxxon-like in many ways, and the visuals are stunning.

Is that connector the standard for RF input in UK? Man you guys have some different stuff over there.

OK. The Power Games 111-in-1 system is awesome. The controllers are wireless, except for the light gun. It plugs directly into the penguin console for Duck Hunt.
The games are standard NES 8-bit fare: SMB with the title screen changed, Contra, Arkanoid, Ms. Pac Man, Duck Hunt, etc.
This is a top of the line pirate clone with a cart slot for Jap Famicom titles. Best NES pirate clone I've seen.

I found a closeout store near me today that has about 30 of these on the shelf for $20 a piece. It comes with a 111-in-1 plug-in cart. I am guessing they got a lot of these from one of the mall kiosks after Christmas.
I picked one up and am going to try it out tonight. Will post about the games afterward.
If anyone is interested, I will distribute these for just the purchase price plus shipping (guessing maybe $5-$10). I am not interested in profiting, only helping fellow gamers. PM me if interested.

Crackpots.
Seems like play would be better with a paddle device.
Crackpots is kinda like an upside down Kaboom, for those who've never played it.
Agreed. I overlooked this one in my original post. This game would benefit nicely from paddle controls.

I havn't played most of the Mario games but then I have no desire to either.
Donkey Kong, DK Jr. and Mario Bros. I like.
But, for me Super Mario, 2 and 3 take too much time. My son and wife once Bogart'd the NES for 90 mins on a Friday night playing one game. Also, at one of my gaming parties, my son and neighbor played it for just as long. I've though of hiding the carts to create equal time on the NES.
Solution for your gaming parties: Multiple NES consoles on multiple CRT's. I had one like this and it went great. That way, all the attendees were able to get their NES fix for the night.

2600 paddle still jittery after cleaning
in Hardware
Posted
I have eliminated jitters in many paddle controllers by decrimping the pot housing, taking the stem out, and cleaning all contacts with alcohol.
However, I have a particularly stubborn one that still jitters, albeit not as bad, even after I have taken it apart no less than four separate times to re-clean the contacts. It makes me wonder if maybe something is wrong with the wire harness or plug, but I cannot figure how that could be the case because the paddle for player 2 works fine on this set.
Anyone with any ideas?
