feature request: e-mail notification for private messages
Happy_Dude replied to kisrael's topic in Site and Forum Feedback
Could be a technical bug, but I'm not a tech guy *Notify on new Private Message: Sends you email notification. I use Netscape mail and it has a neat little pop-up mail notification thing whenever I get any mail If you're using Outlook you have to "Refresh" every so offten to see new messages in my experience -

That is a great feature of this site If you're not getting them edit you're profile. Just under or above notification for threads is an option for pop-up window notification and email notification Hope that helps ya out :) -
If so why did you proceed to argue the Video game definition point? wouldn't it be better to turn the discussion towards the Proto instead of some B.S 60's legal mumbo-jumbo? If it's at all possible I'd like to see a video of this proto in action either captured from the 2600 itself or an AVI file from an emulator just a thought

The Official "Thrift finds" Thread
Happy_Dude replied to Happy_Dude's topic in Classic Console Discussion
Thats exactly how my C64 collection started I bought a stack of C64 stuff for $1 an item (inc. 3 C64's,1 tape drive and 1 Disc drive + games ) and a box of atari games. I didn't have an atari at the time so thats how I started my thrift store addiction, scouring stores for an Atari -
Post you're finds here be they 1 combat cart or a $2 Panasonic Q Today is the last shopping day before christmas and my local thrift has just put their prices up But thats O.k because I found a MIB SNES on the front counter. It came in a Killer instinct box that looks like it has seen better days, The game and C.D where not in there but inside was a boxed SNES and it was Minty fresh with a controller in its own box for AU$50. Also saved a PC Propad6 (6 button gamepad) from beeing bundled in with yet another megadrive (the prices of which are slowly rising) for $8 and picked 4 Megadrive games I don't have out of a pile of 50 games I alrady do have for $4.50 each (a lot more than the $1 they where 4 weeks ago)

Happy_Dude replied to Curt Vendel's topic in Atari 2600
I asked the same Question in Modern Gaming forum about modern systems not having a pack-in game and which systems shipped with a pack-in originally. Well looks like I got my answers here instead And SMS2 had Alex Kidd built in -
Thanks for that link Inky I already have a game in mind for my first try, "Blade Runner" What do ya think? It was always my favorite C64 game.
-
sure retailers will always throw in something with a new system, But what I meant was What systems had a Pack in game at their Launch, in other words you couldn't buy it WITHOUT a game?
-
Just last week I obtained a Game Boy Advanced (my first Game boy) I spent all my money on it and then had to wait 1 week to get a game (I think I wore down the batteries from turning it on all the time ) Why don't new consoles come with a "pack in game"? and what consoles shipped with a "pack in game" ? (Yes I know the topic sounds like a "raise you're post count" thread )

As I said before an eBay auction is a legal contract between Bidder and seller. I'd wait 2 weeks local, 1 month (or 3 depending if its sea or air mail) international before fileing a complaint with eBay and/or the relavant authorities (FBI for Wire or mail fraud or whatever it is in Canada ). Of course you could try warning him of the Action you plan to take and hope it scares him into doing the right thing (what a scumbag ).
