I miss the old days of video game advertising. Call me crazy, but I'd rather watch Nintendo's old Play it Loud commercials instead of these new commercials.

The Legend of Zelda and Zelda 2: The Adventure of Link were also re-released. The only difference is that the re-release cartridges are are gray. The original cartridges are gold.

I also like 10 Yard Fight even though most video game critics bash it. Another good game for the NES is Urban Champion. Nintendo needs to make a sequel to this game.

I don't think Donkey Kong for the Atari 2600 is rare at all. I took a look on eBay and most of the prices for Donkey Kong range from $1.00 to $5.00.

I also like the original NES Golf too. It's one of my favorite sport games for the NES. I also like the original NES Baseball.

You guys are forgetting one thing about the Game Gear that should be mentioned on this topic. And that is the commercials. Remember the commercial where the dog walks up the the Game Gear and Game Boy and an announcer says "If you were colorblind and had an I.Q. of less than 12, then you wouldn't care which portable you had. Of course you wouldn't care if you drank from the toilet either." How about the commercial where a family of hillbillies watch a bug zapper while some kid plays a Game Boy and an announcer says "Some people are content to be entertained by simple one-color electronics. Somehow these people have just never heard of Game Gear. Yeah, some people are like that, but then some people like to eat pickled pork lips." I have those commercials on tape and they are hilarious.

I own the following systems. NES Super NES Sega Genesis Sega Game Gear Game Boy Advance Game Boy Game Boy Color Nintendo 64 Nintendo Gamecube Playstation 2 X-Box and an Atari 2600(it doesn't work anymore). I used to own a Sega Dreamcast but I sold it to Funcoland.

I remember those ads. I have one on one of my wrestling video tapes that has some guy dressed up as a woman saying that Sonic has a bad attitude and he runs too fast. The commercial does mention Nintendo when the guy says "Why can't Sonic be a nice guy like that little Mario."

I'm in definite support of an NES similar to Atari Age. The NES has and always will be my favorite system. There are very few classic video game systems that can compare to the NES(With the exception of the Sega Genesis and Super NES).

And apparently not very good, Seanbaby ripped on it in that issue of EGM. I definitely agree with Seanbaby calling Captain Novolin one of the worst games of all time. This game makes Donkey Kong Jr. Math look like Super Mario Bros. 3.

In regards to your question, the used games there are usually either $6.99 or $7.99. I got Killer Instinct for $17.99. As far as what other NES games are there, well, that location just closed but I went to one in Saugus, Massachusetts and there were no NES games. I guess the used games vary at each K-Mart each time you go in.

Before one of the local K-Marts that I lived close to closed down, I used to go there and buy some old classic video games like Dr. Mario, Metroid, Killer Instinct, and Kung-Fu. Now it is closed.

My favorite Street Fighter game of all time would be Street Fighter 2: Special Championship Edition for the Sega Genesis. It's much better than Street Fighter 2 for the Super NES. I am referring to the first version of Street Fighter 2 that came out for the Super NES. Not the Turbo or New Challengers versions.

I just went to some thrift shop a few weeks ago and got some instruction manuals for Super Mario Bros. 2, Super Mario Bros. 3, Kirby's Adventure, and Startropics all for four bucks. The manuals were all a dollar per manual. I already have the games too.

I wasn't that mad when Seanbaby put a lot of Atari Jaguar games on his 20 worst games of all time list. His site is hilarious. He should do more worst video games of all time lists like a worst 20 Atari 2600 games of all time list or a worst 20 3DO games of all time list. His worst 20 NES games of all time list was very funny. I also liked his ten worst ideas for NES games list.

Oh man, I forgot all about that one. Trying to make it look like the dog was actually saying "Sega" was great too. Yeah, I'm all for any ads from Nintendo about beating the crap out of a Bill Gates lookalike, or something... Or Microsoft could make an ad where they make fun of Nintendo for losing part of Rare to Microsoft. I think we should all submit commercial ideas to Sony, Microsoft, or Nintendo someday. Today's video game commercials don't have the same humor and in-your-face style of the video game commercials of yesteryear. The only ad that comes close is the Turok: Evolution commercial because it's got the same in-your-face style and a mix of live-action and video game footage like old video game ads do. Does anyone remember the old Sega 32X commercial that's shown in black and white and color where announcer says "For those who purchased something other than a Sega Genesis, our sincere condolences." as a poilceman, a woman, and some old guy take some video game system out of a cabinet and burn it. It ends with the old guy saying "Welcome to the next level." I'm not sure what the system is that got burned in the commercial , but I think it might be a 3DO. I wish Sony, Nintendo and Microsoft would bash each other nowadays with commercials and magazine ads like Sega would back in the old days. Would you guys like to see Nintendo, Sony, and Microsoft bash each other like the old wars of Sega and Nintendo? I went to go check the G4 forums to see if anyone was flaming Starcade and I haven't seen much. I will say that the moderators on the Starcade board on the G4 forums are very dumb. One of the mods claims that everyone has the right on that board to say that Starcade should be removed which is total bullshit. Message boards that are devoted devoted to a certain topic are there to be discussed by people who like the subject and not by people who think that the subject is dumb. Most of the posters on the G4 forums are snot-nosed 10 year olds who think that all classic video games suck. I will never go the G4 forums to post there because there's no use of arguing with cheap idiots who hate classic video games. I'd rather send hate mail to them though. Just don't give them your e-mail addresses or else they'll reply to you with lots of incorrectly spelled words and terible grammar

Just another blatent attempt to pick on the Jaguar (and Atari). They only attached those other games to the list to appear credible. I could probably name 20 games for the NES that were worse than Aircars. Oh, and here's the proof: "I still insist that if this list was perfectly accurate, the 20 Worst games really would just be 19 Atari Jaguar games and the Atari 2600's god damn E.T.." I guess that's answers my question as to why there were no Genesis games and only 1 SNES game. Considering that there were hundreds of more games for those systems, odds are that there are also TONS of crappy games. Even his quote is incorrect: "Above: irreverant funnyman me." More like, "Irreverant twit, who uses weak humor and Atari bashing to get people to like me." I have to agree with Greg on all his comments about Seanbaby bashing the Jaguar. The Jaguar had a fair share of great games like Alien vs. Predator, Tempest 2000, and Doom. That list for the 20 worst video games of all time should have included shitty games like Barney's Hide and Seek, Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, and Pit Fighter.

I agree that the 'Genesis Does What Nintendon't" ad was pretty good. I also agree that the Sega Saturn commercials weren't that good. The only Sega Saturn ads that I liked were the ones that bashed the Nintendo 64 and the Playstation. I thought that Theater ad for the Sega Saturn was just freaky with everyone's eyes replaced with the Sega Saturn logo.

I also remember a magazine ad for Eternal Champions and it took shots at Street Fighter 2 and Mortal Kombat by saying things like "With 35 killer moves, any fighter from Eternal Champions could whip Guile's butt" and "Hey Johnny Cage, scared you'll get whipped by a girl?". The magazine ad also claimed "To prepare for Eternal Champions, use Steet Fighter 2 as your training wheels." Another good Sega commmercial was that one for Sega CD with the guy yelling at the kid "Hey! You still don't have a Sega CD? What are you waiting for, Nintendo to make one?." That was hilarious.

I haven't noticed any threads about old Sega commercials on this board, so I'll start one myself. Why do you guys think are some good Sega Genesis commercials(I'll accept Game Gear, Sega CD, and 32X because they had some good commercials)? I like any Sega Genesis, 32X, CD, and Game Gear commercial that bashed the competition. Anyone remember the commercial with the kids chained to NESes and being forced to play them forever until a Sega Genesis crashes through the ceiling and falls on a table with Altered Beast, and some other Sega games being played by the kids? How about the infamous Blast Processing commercial? By the way, could someone please tell me how that H.A.G(Humans against Genesis)commercial went. I've never seen it before.
