  1. I bought mine over a month ago, and STILL haven't plugged-it-in. I've been too busy, but I guess I just feel I need a day off, and haven't had one yet.
  2. thanks. I figured out the MEMBER search. it wasn't as hard as on other forums.
  3. who is Coleco_master? I will try to figure out how to find ppl on here

  6. Argh! After several emails to the person selling the Colecovision, and getting NO RESPONSE, they pulled their item. I guess someone else bought the item, but it'd still be nice to get some kind of word from them.
  7. I was caught-up in the excitement of a NEW thing...but I'm going to pass for now. My RetroN 3 is fine
  8. Which stores are getting stock? We only have GameSTop for games. Is this being sent to Wal-Mart, Target, etc? I was also at Best Buy yesterday, and they didn't have any Retron on their computers. I don't know where to find this system in a store.
  9. He was some hipster with a ponytail, and on too much coffee. I pointed to the OUYA in the store and said "Now that is a great system for playing emulators and roms on, unlike the RetroN 5 that only plays legit carts"
  10. I went to Gamestop today to see if they had any in stock, and the dude said "We only sell legit systems. Those Retrons aren't on the down low with their illegal copying of the hardware"...I let him know that the patents were expired, and therefore they are legal and legit.
  11. well, this one is in city NEAR me, that I go to regularly, so I'm interested in it for that reason, too (no waiting on the mailman, no being out, and having the box sit on my doorstep drowning in rain, or sizzling in the sun), but I can check there if it's cheaper.
  12. how much would a working Colecovision be worth? I just want a working system. There's a few games in that lot I don't have, but I'm not focused on the games.
  13. can you steer with a roller controller or with the Atari Paddle control? Even without the steering wheel, is the rest of it worth $95?
  14. um..no, if NES is gold, then ATARI is Platinum. But the reality is that Silver is 25 year mark, Gold is 50 year mark, so it's not what you prefer, but by years. So Atari is closer to GOLD, and NES is more Silver.
  15. but, it's like having a box of 64 games...so it's not the console, it's the games I am buying. the console is just the conduit to my TV.
  16. It always makes me insane when hipsters think NES is RETRO...no, RETRO is COLECO/ATARI/INTELLIVISION. Maybe we should invent two categories, like Retro 1 and Retro 2, or OLD SCHOOL vs RETRO, or RETRO GOLD vs RETRO SILVER. Anyways, we should get a kickstarter going to get a RETRON -4 for Colecovision, Odyssey2. Intellivision, and ALL ATARI. Get crackin' on that!
  17. I'm tempted to get the MSX port to COLECOVISION of Thexder just because I love Thexder. I can play the NES version, but i dunno...just the idea that IF CV continued we should have gotten Thexder
  18. If 20 years is the case, then why has no one bothered with a Coleco, Intellivision, Odyssey2, Atari2600/5200/7800/400/800(etc) Retron??? I'd love to see one!
  19. But that would be cheaper, especially since those games take almost no memory.
  20. I'm eyeballing a listing for $95 plus 16 games, but I have most of the games, I just want the Colecovision...is it worth it?: Colecovision for sale. This is among the very first video game systems to hit the market going back to 1981. It is in working condition and comes with the following: --system with power supply and coaxial connection. --2 controllers. One does not work well but you can't get a Sega Genesis controller if you need a 2nd controller. --2 action game controllers --Steering wheel and pedal. Steering wheel doesn't work but pedal does. You can steer with a normal controller. --16 games. Haven't tested all of them but those I tested worked.
  21. Do you think they (or someone) will ever make a Optical Drive unit? I don't see the point since a Computer can do that, at least for the DVD/CDs (not the HD-DVDs, i think).
  22. Thanks. DC and Saturn are so similar in my mind
  23. This is why I really wish they would put a cartridge slot in the console to play those games they will NEVER include....like i seriously doubt we'll get the title that LAUNCHED the system to victory: Donkey Kong
  24. I went to ANIMAZEMENT on Sunday and played TONS of RETRO consoles and arcade games, see my flickr for more pics, but some include: Arcade Metal Slug 5 (with aliens?!?!?!), Odyssey2 Alien Plus (I hated it), Dreamcast (or was it Saturn?) Bomberman against 7 other ppl, Some Vectrex car game...too figity...and many more (I can't read Japanese fluently, so I wasn't sure of their names, but did you know there is a Dr. Mario type game involving Bomberman on the Turbo Duo???) Killer Instinct 2 at Animazement by SacredKnightOfTomorrow, on Flickr hmmm....okay, most of my pics are STILL on Instagram, so check it out for more pics (they will eventually be migrated to my Flickr: http://instagram.com/scootercomputer1985
  25. June 6? Notice there's no YEAR on that picture. June 6, 2015?
