    Not sure why you would not want us to know your E-bay I.D. I for one would rather buy from an AtariAge guy, rather than some reseller. I guess you have your reasons.

     

    Actually I'll be putting up lots of loose carts for a buck a piece hopefully by the end of the month. I'm in the process of testing everything and want to make some room in inventory. There will be the commons of course, but will also have some uncommon games too. I'll let you know when it happens.

     

    Since I also have tons of extra boxed complete games, I may list them too at that time.

    No room atm for a Full Sized Aracde Machine so I been searching around. I came upon www.backinthedayarcades.com and I was looking at the Classic Tabletop Multi-Arcade Unit (http://www.backinthedayarcades.com/Classic_Multi-Arcades.html - unit is about midway down the page) they have for $799. Table Top unit with 64 Classic Games that you get to choose the Beezel and side art, Joystick and Button Colors etc. I ASS/U/ME that this has to be a MAME Cabinet but they don't list the specs of the system that is/would be powering it. Sent an email yesterday asking them and they haven't gotten back to me yet. Is it worth it or just a rip-off?

    It is actually $1799. I have never heard of them before, I would go with a multicade. They play true to the original, as far as I am concerned.

    The reason Pac-Man destroyed the 2600 is the same reason that the Nazis and Hitler destroyed Germany: They got too confident and made stupid mistakes that eventually led to their destruction.

    I see on Toucharcade someone is bringing the old laser disc game Road Blaster to the iPhone soon.

     

    I never played it back in the day, was it good? I was a huge fan of Dragon's Lair, Cliff Hanger and particularly Cobra Command way back when, in fact I have the iPhone versions of DL and CC and absolutely love them.

    Having said that, these laser disc games take up a lot of space on my iPhone so adding a third is something I am not sure of doing, especially since I never played the Road Blaster game originally.

     

    Anyone care to comment / recommend Road Blaster? Should I sacrifice some room on the device for it when it comes out?

    Road Blasters was God awful in my opinion, but it is easily converted to Marble Madness which is an awesome game.

    Road Blaster AKA Road Avenger is a far different game than Roadblasters, the shooting racer from Atari.

    Ever since I defended the topic of someone ripping into Ebay I've had a series of bad experiences. First was the cigarette smelling 12 games I ordered. Next were some trading cards, sealed no doubt, which smelled like a perfume. I found out why. Once I opened the packs, they too had this strange smell and you guessed it, faint cigarette smell. I sell a decent number of games on Ebay and someone offered me $12 for a complete in box game. I had the game higher, and I didn't have a best offer. I decided to take the price, so I told him I would add a best offer option and accept his price. I changed the listing and I get on just now and the same *#!, as Q*Bert would say, offers me $8. At first I thought it was someone else offering me a price and was going to be fair and decline it and wait for the original buyer, but it turned out to be him. So I declined his offer, told him I didn't appreciate his low ball offer, and banned him from buying anything from me. I also removed the best offer from the game.

     

    I'm a very fair seller. I try and be the lowest seller on Ebay, unless someone has something ridiculously low or at a price I don't want to compete with. Most boxed, complete games are not that easy to find, especially at a reasonable price. There are many collectors here that will agree with that statement. I don't gouge like other big sellers, asking 1 1/2 to 2x what I ask if not more. But I get insulted when a price is agreed upon and then they try and low ball me.

     

    The only boxed games I consider common are O'Shea games that he still has in stock. The ones he doesn't are not as easy to find, and I actually sold out of a number of them. Combat of course is relatively common. Pac-Man to me is uncommon. Asteroids I have actually more copies than Combat boxed I think. More uncommon games I come across complete in the box are maybe Video Olympics and Breakout. I don't have too many blue Space Invaders, though I think that may not be too hard to acquire. Warlords is also uncommon but also attainable.

     

    Games that come with comic books are NOT that easily gotten complete. Most people may say Defender is common, but many times the comic is missing. I actually do not have too many complete Defenders. Also people may say ET is common, but I don't consider it complete without that little insert with the finger. The same goes for Asteroids, though I have many of those 1 sheet inserts for that and Raiders which also has a 1 sheet insert.

     

    I don't consider ANY 3rd party software to be common complete in box. Again, you may think Donkey Kong, but I actually do NOT have that in stock. Decathlon has been the most common box, and I've had 5 boxed copies in the past couple of years. Though 2 of those did not have the instruction manual.

     

    I don't consider the catalog or warranty card to be part of being complete because they don't specifically go with that game and can be taken from other titles. Though some people are sticklers and want those too. But having the original GAME items such as cartridge, manual, inserts, and comics are required in my book to be complete with the box.

     

    I changed the title of this and added the CIB topic because I went a bit off topic of Ebay. I didn't feel like starting 2 threads. I expect many people to reply to either topics. I probably will think of more stuff later to add. Just venting.

    i was checking out my duplicate 2600 games (boxed) i have :

    4 air sea battle

    6 asteroids

    6 combat

    5 defender

    2 pacman

    2 space invaders

     

    and a ton of other ones but just 1 copy of.

     

    as for 3rd party cib being common...maybe atlantis or demon attack, but that is it.

    I currently own 6 - All of them are Atari machines.

     

    Hercules (two of them)

    Middle Earth

    Superman

    Space Riders

    Airborne Avengers

     

    I'm still looking for the Atarians machine and Time 2000. :)

    Nice! I always wondered how all the Atari games would look lined up. I think the cabs look awesome, the gameplay is a little dated for my pinball tastes but definetily still very playeable. Do you have any pics of them next to each other?

     

    I have a few pictures, but none of them all lined up (yet). The only ones I have at my place at the moment are Space Riders and Middle Earth while the Hercules machines and Airborne Avengers are in one place and Superman is in another. One day when I have a basement that can hold all of them I will definitely have them all next to one another.

     

    I agree that the gameplay can be a little dated, but part of that is why I like them - you don't have to play it very much to get a complete picture of what each thing does (versus something like the Lord of the Rings pinball machine that I still don't totally "get"). One day I'll likely get a little something more complex (I'm thinking Champion Pub - played that at MWGC this year and absolutely loved it), but for now I'm pretty happy with my Atari machines (even if most of them still need some work - but that's another story. :) )

     

    I want to play a Hercules. That would be so cool!

    Doe it use a bigger pinball as well?

    I actually played this at Chuck E. Cheese. The ball was brown and was at least the size of a pool table ball. It was a great pin. It is on my wish list of games.

    Thanks for the vid. Damn I love the graphics. Reminds me of many games. Sure wish I could have played this one in the arcades I used to haunt.

    Eric, Don't know how old you are; I have been trying to find anyone who remembers the "Cream n' Machine" arcade that was in Salmon Creek back in the day. The day being like, '82-'87. Morgan

    I always thank my buyers once they pay and I always ask if there is anything else I can do for them.

    I also! Why play hostage with feedback? If you've done your part of the transaction and everything's okay, post some honest feedback right away.

    But the seller's part of the transaction is not done until the customer is happy. If he tells me he is happy or leaves me feedback, I will leave feedback in return. It's that simple. For instants, if 30 days goes by and I have not gotten a feedback or a message telling me he is happy with the purchase, I than email him and make sure everything is Okay. I don't play hostage with feedback. I don't say hey, leave me feedback or I won't give you any. I never say anything about feedback. I think asking or telling people to leave feedback is rude. The feedback system was never meant to be used in that manner.

     

    There use to be a time when feedback was left for extra special or horrible transactions only. Somewhere along the line ebayer's (sellers & buyers) started demanding feedback be mandatory for the most mundane of transactions.

     

    So, next time I go to Walmart and buy a tube of toothpaste (or some other mundane product) and pay for it, Walmart better give me some special positive feedback over the intercom (or a big sticker stating I'm a great buyer) or they are just holding my rightfully deserved feedback hostage.

     

    I'm also wondering when no feedback became as bad as negative feedback? That's new one... :roll:

     

    Oh no, I didn't get any feedback from that buyer/seller!!!!! He must be holding it hostage! Damn him to helllllllllllll.

    You can spin it however you want. In my opinion the seller should leave + F.B. after receiving payment. Thats it I'm done with this subject.
