I'd be down for one at that price point.
With Stella Carrot Kingdom will play pretty damn good.

-
Ditto, I love me some Burgertime and your version has been one of the nicest looking ones around.

-
Wow! Looking great man, I'm actually really digging that font.
I'll definitely give it a spin later on my A8, it's been a little while since I've played.

-
Thanks for playing
congrats on beating the bread cat!Yeah those ghost Carrots are tricky! Even for me. XD
I'm getting back to work on the next segment and the boss so hopefully not too much longer for the next demo. I had to do some searching for a few months for a long term job so that set me back a bit. :/

Whoa! Super cool!

Time to start adding network play to my port of M.U.S.C.L.E.

-
Thanks Syoung. That's a good list.

I couldn't remember everything from last I was there.

Geekster's has a large and varied collection from 80s, 90s, driving, all types of games.
If you're in proximity to North Ridgeville, John Salter's Full Blast arcade is great as well. Depending on what is closer.
John has Tron, Disks of Tron, Journey, a whole lot of harder to find classics, and modern games as well like MK1, 2, UMK3, Killer Instinct, etc.
Not trying to sound biased but I've been to John's a few times, so better remember what's all there.

Ok I solved it. Just in case anyone else has this problem in the future.
After looking closely (shame my house is so dim) x3
The MMU pins in the socket some got bent. So I used the Marpet piece that plugs into the MMU slot to jumper those and it booted right up.
Might as well try installing the kit again.

Great demo.

Awesome progression, music, and effects. Thanks for sharing.

Interesting, never played this one, I'll have to give it a go on my ST.
Seems like it should be doable in one form or another.
Good luck on getting it rolling. -
Great archive, thanks for sharing.

Oh I see.
I was actually going to do a game for my ST after M.U.S.C.L.E. though. -
Oh I see, well I wasn't planning on doing anything that goes above what has been done on the A8 before.

"This one have..." is your game
... -
Oh nice, looking forward to see what game you have working on.

This one have something that goes ahead of anything ever done on A8 but I can't say more by now...
-
Super cool! This looks great!

Thanks for releasing it! I'm looking forward to giving it a go tomorrow. My 1040STf always wants new games to play.

Since I posted M.U.S.C.L.E. in the thread here ages ago, I figure I'd post a shot of the current state.
99% of the graphical coding is done.
DLIs finished, PMG/Char Software Sprites for the wrestlers, they move around, it scrolls.
Time to start adding the gameplay.
Once you can beat on each other, I'll make its own thread. Just thought I'd post this since my last update was like a year ago. x3 I honestly didn't work on it all this time until this week.Since I'm laid off at the moment I figured why not!

Awesome job looks so clean!
I would love to mod my Flashback 2 similarly as well.
-
Just a quick bump.
I had a work contract so just getting back to work on Carrot Kingdom™, haven't forgot about you guys.
Started working on the next two levels. Playing around trying to get them to feel what direction I wanna go with them. Also re-did the sprites for the next boss. Much improved.

Thanks for being patient.

Edit:
What's this creepy thing here?

Very awesome maze engine!
Keep up the great work!Something like 3-Demon to the VCS would be really cool.
-
Oh very cool I'll have to check out some of those bitmap modes.
The limitations were well workable for Character modes I've been using, so I've not felt the need to use them.
Thanks for the info.
Super cool that Battletech could be done as well. -
Exactly
that's why I said Lyrens was such a tease. It's so close but he uses the PMGs and such for extra colors and whatnot. There's nothing left.
Those kinda demos are why I designed my test demos to use the bear minimum so there's plenty of wiggle room to add the rest if I ever got the time/desire.

Yeah man I'll have to run I through my utility at some point.
Wouldn't look as pretty as some of those great tech demos but it usually leaves me with enough character sprites for 2-3 enemies. Would be fun to play with.
I'd love some kind of Battletech game too. That would be rad. Even Mechwarrior 1989 though that might be better on the ST.

Atari Flashback Portable programming considerations

True.
Though I'm not always the most meticulous about counting my cycles at times.
I was trying to think if I had played Space Invaders on the FBP, so couldn't remember if it had a problem with that multi-sprite or not.
