Oh sweet man congrats on beating the Bread Cat.
I love his death animation. :3I didn't report it because 1) I was always able to get out of them and 2) there's a big hole you have to jump across on the second screen, and getting stuck on the other site a little bit helped me to get across safely.
I tried a lot of hours of tweaking to get it as it is now.
The general consensus has been, it doesn't impede you from beating the game, or ruin the fun.As for the levels, I have nearly a whole 4K bank for level data. I have 4 levels and 3 boss fights planned out, with the first one here in the demo being the shortest. Those are the center points for the story. I suspect I'll have more space for levels to pad that out later, but not 100% sure. I'm limiting the ROM size to 16K to keep it something that could have been released back in the day.
I also have a comic page to setup the story that's nearly finished.

Thanks, yeah I'm aware of it, it's a limitation to the collision, but doesn't affect gameplay so it's not something I'm worried about. I actually spent a lot of hours getting it to feel good.

Rad glad you got it.

Takes a bit to get the timing, but you'll get it no problem. ^^
Here's my playthrough it may give you some tips.

-
Just out of curiosity, were you trying to jump over the enemies or shooting at them?
-
Thanks Propane, here is a binary that fixes that.

Notes: Fixes flamethrower buzzing sound on lives screen.

Thanks Thomas very useful!

I should have an updated demo out here shortly, I have the scanlines all uniform on the screens at 260 now, but need to tweak status UI now that I have less screen real estate. ;3
-
Thanks, yeah last night i settled on 260 for all the screens.
-
The game screen's outputting 287 scanlines, which is way too many for NTSC. Some displays can handle it, like my C= 1084S, but most found in the US cannot. You need to get that down to 262.
Screen Shot 2016-07-26 at 5.21.36 PM.pngThat crash on real hardware that I experienced before no longer occurs

Ah radical, thanks Spiceware, I had it in my mind that it was 292 so I must be dyslexic or something, but that is helpful.
I will address that. Makes sense then must just be the TVs we were testing on that didn't have any trouble. -
Ah interesting, any video you can show off? What kinda mod does it have? Just curious to get some more info.
Anyone else having problems on any specific hardware?
I don't have a Vader, but the the six switch and 4-switch we tested worked ok, along with Spiceware's roll/jitter emulation in Stella.
Have more time to work on the core game, so I've been getting level 2 further along.

Rollin' Rollin' Rollin... Man, my screen is rollin'. It rolls while I'm controllin'. CAT HIIIIIIIDE!!!
Huh? Is the latest build rolling on your hardware?
-
So cool!
I'll definitely give it a try this weekend.

Thanks so much for the support! Thanks as well for the kind words Papa, I am glad you like Jinny and her escapades!
I do too!New update coming shortly, sorry for the delay!
UPDATE: Here we go, attached is the demo that fixes the jittering while scrolling according to Spiceware's great jittery emulation in Stella. The transitional screens have a bit of jitter, but they're on the plate for later.

Thanks so much guys! I appreciate all the feedback and info!

You're all so helpful!
-
Thanks for the advice on that too John, I'll keep that in mind as well.

-
Thanks Spiceware.
Should be an easy enough fix. -
Oh wow, thanks so much Spiceware. I appreciate the info, I'm going to look into.

-
Wow really great fixes updates, I really like the attract mode demo you added.
Can't wait until the final release, but this one feels so polished already! -
Thanks for bringing this up THIYR, because I have honestly not had this problem on hardware or emulation.
Do you have a video or something, I'm curious. In Stella 4.5+ during scrolling and stationary scenes I get an unmoving 250 lines.
