  1. I completely disagree with the age part. SNES games haven't aged one bit, that's why alot of them could easily be ported to the GBA with no change. If he's experienced alot of the good N64 games, than I don't see why he shouldn't try out another systems golden titles.
  2. Eh. They both have such a vast library of games, how can you choose 1? I mean, it's not like the guy will play every videogame on both consoles, so he might as well play around. Not to mention the N64 had a horrid showing of RPG's.
  3. The ol' Atari VCS man. I get a boner just looking at it.
  4. Wow I was going to buy Tetris DS but it's going for 100 bucks new... wtf? I guess I'll get it used than wow.
  5. I don't play many next gen games, but FFXIII was horrid, and all the Call of Duty games have some ambience, but nothing else. Honestly, there's not really any tunes this gen that stick out. It's really sad honestly. Expect for throw back titles like MM9 and MM10.
  6. I like the Tetris on my phone For the simple reason that it's conveniently on my phone ^_^
  7. So now you're going to give out 25 game consoles? Damn.
  8. No one interested in Battle Kid? It's a homebrew game, but it's one of the best homebrew games out there.
  9. Man Yobo is killing it. They've done alot of cool stuff since the FC Twin. I hope they come out with an Atari one, but that's doubtful.
  10. Why only 3? Parents won't let you. (Which is actually a good idea, my parents despise my room for the crowded systems) I guess if you have no other choice, and you really want a SNES, I don't see anything wrong with it. Take advantage of the RPG's the SNES has. It's something the N64 was lacking severely, and it's a genre that hasn't aged well in the NES days. SNES was the golden age for these games.
  11. I wish more people did what RetroZone does. Uses new carts as opposed to old ones.
  12. Neither is better because both have great games. Why not get the FC Twin? It can play NES and SNES games, for a cheap price, and than now you have all 3.
  13. And for the price of your car, I could buy a house. A decent one, too, where I live, post-housing bubble collapse. So, value is relative to a number of factors. If someone wants to take $30k and buy a house, or a car, or a video game, that's that person's business. Well if my brother or a close friend was going to do it, I'd do everything to convince them to not spend the money. Unless they believe the investment will make a profit over time, which I did not consider when making my original post.
  14. It's crazy the system that promotes what's worth a lot and what isn't. I could get a car for the price of this plastic and cart. No offense, but something is seriously wrong with you, and you need to get a new hobby/fascination if you are willing to shell out that much money on plastic and a 25 year old piece of electronic that's really only worth a few bucks.
  15. Well if you ever decide to sell some of your common games on the marketplace forum, I'm down to buy some. I'm new to the Atari scene, and I still don't have many common games like Yars Revenge for instance.
  16. My Atari playing is on than off, usually a few months on, a few months off. It really doesn't correlate with the seasons, which is partely because I live in Southern California, where there's no excuse for me not to be outside.
  17. This has been something people have been saying since Atari. Why play pong when you could go outside and play tennis? Why play Guitar Hero when you can go pick up a real guitar? Why play a baseball game, when you could grab a few friends and play some real baseball? It's completely different, and people buying Kenect aren't buying it solely for one game. I hate carrying around my Phone, Ipod, and PSP. If I could combine these 3, that would be great. Some people are like you, but the vast majority of people hate carrying around multiple electronics. It's possible. Like every one has said, it's yet to be explored. This is not a retort, but I'd like to know what your definition of "child's toy" is? If it's that the system is easy to play with and is mostly kid friendly with fun but nonviolent games, then I'm cool with that. A good game of Mario Galaxy or Mart makes the Wii very cool, indeed. Yeah I knew I shouldn't have worded it like that, I own a Wii, and I love it. With that said, It just aged poorly.
  18. Perhaps the physical hardware was obsolete; slower processing and the video is outdated by Sony/360 standards, but the implementation was innovative. It was the only machine that brought good, solid motion control to the user in a console. Only just now have Sony and MS gotten into that market, and from everything I've read, their implementations are not good by comparison. Don't knock the Wii, man. It's an awesome product. Agreed. But nowadays, with Kinect, the Wii is becoming a child's toy.
  19. The Wii is almost already obsolete. With the Kinect, the Xbox 360 got renewed. The Move, same crap. But the Wii is already losing it's thunder, and it needs a new contender. Wii HD here we go.
  20. Completely off topic, irrelevant, and dumb: I love Ninja Warrior. Don't know if your name has anything to do with that show, but I love it.
  21. Semi-dumb question, when you guys mean "Finds" does this mean Swap Meets and stuff like that, or stuff you got from Ebay as well? It's pretty impressive if you got all that stuff from a swap meet HatefulGravey.
  22. I use Sony Vegas Movie Studio Platinum 9.0. I don't know any freeware, but if you go "ARRR" and you have a patch over one eye, you can get it. And my microphone is Logetech's USB headset which isn't that good, but as long as people understand what I'm saying, I'm fine with it. I haven't uploaded a video yet. I'm working on the script as I am making this message. Good luck with your videos.
