I never thought there'd be so much youg ones (like me) on a site like AA! I am 16, but have been hooked to retro-gamimg before I even knew what it meant. While all the other kids (we're talking 1997 here) had the ''new n' sooo great'' Nintendo 64 (or at the very least, a SNES), I had nothing but puzzles and snake n' ladder. Boy was I jealous at first. But then, the miracle happened: I was given my cousin's NES system when she left her parent's house. I still wanted to break my jaw to get some coinage from the Tooth Fairy so I could to buy a N64 ( ), but that was before I even turned the damn thing on. Then I cranked a good ol' SMB 3 cartridge into the unit. This was it. I couldn't care less about all those 'revolutionary consoles' anymore. I had to wait many years before getting a newer console, which was a Gamecube. To be honest, I've enjoyed it quite a bit, but I then decided to return back in time. Even though I got a N64 some time after, I remained unsatisfied. Then I made an incredible deal (at least, I like to think it was) and bought a SNES with 2 controllrs, all hook-ups and 8 games (one of which is Shadowrunner) for 10$ at a garage sale. This was the event that 'aroused' once again the old-school gaming desire in me. I also have to say that AVGN accounts for a lot toward my interest in classic consoles and gaming. In fact, it is Jame's video on the Halloween game for the VCS that made me buy a 2600. (You can still see the auction right here). I also have 2 Colecovisions. That's pretty much it. I truly believe that AtariAge is a unique community, and that is why I intend to get a little more active on the forums over the next weeks. -Nic.

Welcome to AtariAge, Nicolas! AA is a great community... I have about 1,500 more posts here than any other community I've joined, because they just didn't keep my interest like AtariAge does! Here we go: ATARI 2600: PAC-MAN COMBAT NINTENDO NES: TOP-GUN SECOND MISSION (there's a little bit of corrosion on the contacts and the label is in bad shape) *Shipping is to be paid by the person claiming the item please (any method of payment).
