I just started a 7800 collection. Currently I have the following games: Pole Position II Tomcat Touchdown Football RealSports Baseball Food Fight I basically need everything else. I did move the console slightly to free up some space on the floor; I suppose it is possible that I have a touchy RF cable. Would a touchy RF cable explain what I am seeing? I noticed that the screen would flicker when I moved the joystick up or down, but it wouldn't flicker if I moved it left or right. I tried another game, and the game didn't respond to any joystick movements.

Thanks for the idea, but unfortunately I tried changing channels and the problem is still there.

Hi, I just bought an Atari 2600 "Darth Vader" 4 switch system. After buying a new AC adapter and phono-to-cable adapter, the system worked great for several days. However, today when I tried to play some games the screen would flicker when I moved the joystick up or down. I tried two different joysticks; same problem. I tried the left side and then the right side; same problem. The paddle controllers work fine. Does anyone know what might be causing this, and how I can fix it? It certainly seems like it is a problem with the console and not the games or the joysticks.
