this reminds me of avgn's review of nintendo power, this one guy asked the editors "is it true that nintendo TAPES only last 5 years?" wow. there are 2600 tapes though, starpath supercharger.

Sort of. It's true that I'm missing a sound channel, but it's not like half the sound is gone. That sound channel was rarely used anyway and generally for a background beat. Tempest couldnt you somehow run a wire from the sound pins on the fds cart down to the bottom of the console and see if it works?

Because I had been on vacation and getting caught up on my Google alerts. Therefore, this flood was outside the norm thereby not justification for an overhaul of methods. "Destroying" is a bit much. Is being nice saying that "I annoy people"? Perhaps in your mind "taking our suggestions seriously" means complying with your requests unconditionally. And if I don't choose to do it your way then I am considered annoying or an a-hole in your book. Some articles spawn a generous number of responses while others don't. I don't care about that. after (what was it?) 12 years of owning the seethrough purple gameboy color, i have always wondered where the brains are. i have looked through all the seeable spots and see no chips. the only close to a chip i see is the mini green board at the bottom left. so im wondering if anyone took one apart and is willing to show me some pics of the inside. thanks

atari 2600: anything besides beeping, unless the beeping is needed. NES: HAVE to listen to the nes music. sooo awesome. fps: anything that rocks (no screamo, yuk) yeah anything else, i have the computer or another tv on in the background. (i have too many things going on at once.)

this is normal... well for me. the slow frame rate is normal. no way to fix it. the one tab (i think) is normal. i have 2 super fx chip games that only have one tab. if they stuck 2 in there in the first place and one fell out on every cart, yould think that the other one would fall out... i bet nintendo did this so people wouldnt send in carts that got fried "for no reason". May this be the reason they didnt support the N64 banjo kazooie's stop 'n swop.

Not everyone is comfortable with opening up electronics and playing around with the insides. It doesn't require opening anything. It requires dragging a few files on to an sd card, and pretty much clicking "yes" a couple of times. Like Shawn Sr. said...it's idiot proof Is it reversible? Say I wanted to try it out, didn't care for it for some odd reason, and decided to make my Wii "pure" again? Could I do so? or would my Wii's virginity be completely lost? I don't know why you'd ever want to go back...since it doesn't do anything but add functionality...but yes, I believe you can go back. The mod doesn't do anything but allow you to install channels (such as the homebrew channel and DVD player). Everything else is exactly the same. but how do you do the homebrew channel, scince the Twilight princess memory thing has been pached, cuz i have installed the latest firmware and i bet everyone else who hasnt modded thier wii probably has too.
