I'm pretty sure that was just the moderator's admin console. I guess you could say that anyone who logs in is on the potential ban list, just as everyone is dying a little each day. Welcome to the circus! Oh you jovial jokester, you need to fabricate them out of craft materials. You know, like the case of the "Atari VCS" (which has no guts inside, either) Or these fake social media posts, which are more real than updates from "the team." I think TinGiant.com has had more activity than the "official" Atari project pages.

Gross, they're deleting criticism again. What a loser of a project.

It would be nice to work it into a longer message, Arnold style https://gawker.com/5391759/arnolds-secret-message-to-legislature-fk-you

Oooh that's even older than the clip I saw. Man these Atari dudes like their ancient references.

If so, they should put a little more effort into it. That link again is http://bit.ly/NotMyAtari

Sega Ages Switch: M2's Sega 3D Classics line coming to the Switch.
Flojomojo replied to Atariboy's topic in Nintendo Switch
Different developers, different contracts, different products. The Classics collection is a bunch of ROMs in an emulator frontend, like they did on PC years ago. The AGES presentations are torn apart and put back together with new features and a terrific attention to detail that justifies paying eight bucks each for them. I'm OK with them in the different formats because they serve different purposes. And I, SEGA whale that I am, buy them all. Including the SEGA Forever collection on mobile. -
Are you an AtariBox® fan who has it all? Did you already spend $129 on SpeakerHat? You know, the embroidered trucker hat with Bluetooth (and vaporware party functions that never get mentioned anymore), that puts your music over your eyes? Have you already paid $25 plus unexpected customs fees for an AtariBox Backer T-shirt? How about the tabletop mechanical PONG, just to show that you have more money than sense? Or the super-sexy Retro Controller, which has been long promised but never demonstrated except for that VCS Centipede clip with Feargal last year? The one where the mouthpieces can't get straight whether it rotates like a paddle or not? And of course the "Atari VCS"® the low-end computer with a smidge of wood in front, $300 all in advance, no updates, no refunds? Well do I have something for you. A Pair Of Wearable Pigeons That Allow You To Be A Part Of The Flock Like AtariBox, this is something you can make yourself, you don't have to wait for the derp patrol Atari Game Box, LLC to help you with this.

It's totally a one-off -- "Atari" has already stated their intent to have someone pick up licensing and manufacturing of this thing. Unlike other one-offs, such as AtGames plug-n-plays, this is priced like an Xbox or Playstation. "But now suddenly ... we're not in the loop anymore." You've been there from the start. You've never been in the loop. Unless empty promises count? And yet, they seem to have added a couple more "backers," now at 11,503. In the spirit of the "number thread," this 11503 is dedicated to the Shambling Corpse Wearing the Skin of Atari.

Those look amazing. What are the shells? Looks like tempura-fried nori (seaweed) to me.

Macaulay Culkin producing New Toejam And Earl.

I backed the Kickstarter. Estimated delivery was November 2015. Glad they finally pulled it out, and that they made it available on consoles. -
Micro Arcade from the makers of Tiny Arcade
Flojomojo replied to Flojomojo's topic in Dedicated Systems
I had the early one from Kickstarter, with a tiny rom size and a similarly small screen -- OLED but monochrome. No sound. It was cute but so limited. Do you have experience with something better? -
WiiWare Digital Game Preservation?

There's a version of all these floating around. They're not going to be forgotten. -

Testing replies to see if it increments the view count, as suggested. I'll be playing TJ&E with my new wireless Sega-style controllers. https://arstechnica.com/gaming/2019/02/new-toejam-earl-game-8bitdo-controller-get-genesis-nostalgia-right/ -
Yeah, I dunno dude. Read the manual, charge the batteries.

2.4Ghz should not need line of sight. I don't have my hands on my controllers but maybe the radios aren't super strong? They could also be disrupted by other things on the same channel like wireless phones, wifi access points, and microwave ovens.

My controllers have been delivered. When I ordered it, I wasn't sure what I'd do with a Bluetooth Sega Genesis controller while waiting for the Mega Sg to arrive. I just learned that they're compatible with the Switch. https://arstechnica.com/gaming/2019/02/new-toejam-earl-game-8bitdo-controller-get-genesis-nostalgia-right/ So that's what I'll be doing. I might even drag out my Fei Hao Megadrive clone. http://www.sega-16.com/forum/showthread.php?32463-Fei-Hao-MD-clone-with-HDMI-out

Micro Arcade from the makers of Tiny Arcade

The games they've depicted are all vertical games. To letterbox them into a tiny horizontal screen would make them even smaller! -
Does Captain Toad require motion controls?
Flojomojo replied to digdugnate's topic in Nintendo Switch
I think $39 is the standard price, but no matter, it's a nice little game, definitely good for people who want to 100% everything. I should come back to it. -
Also, he has two channels for reasons I don't understand. Just search for "John Phelan Atari" and you'll find everything.

6. Don't buy from joints with one-sided, anti-consumer practices like "no refunds once the campaign is over, just wait and trust us." @jhd there were more than 126 "top tier investors." They reset the counters and changed the levels after the campaign ended and they went into "In Demand" preorder mode. There were a bunch of joystick-only orders, but I seem to recall the vast majority of them were for a special limited woody version. If we look back a few hundred pages we can probably find PlaysWithWolves and I doing some captures to estimate and catalog what was going on. 7. Don't be a stupid pigeon.
