"Funny" in a sad kind of way. Do you really want to feed him with attention and things to complain about?

24 years on, is N64 considered classic or modern? I like N64 but I feel that over sub-dividing the forum, especially super mainstream stuff like that, isn't healthy unless there's a crap-ton of discussion about it. A dedicated thread with 250 posts in it sounds like a perfect place for discussion. Just like the NeoGeo thread that is super excited about NG specific stuff. I was a big fan of IGN64 way back when so generally speaking, I'd follow any N64 related stuff on a dedicated thread, even if it didn't get its own sub forum.

Do a search for XSolla in this thread, they're doing support and logistics. One year warranty and up to one (only) replacement console.

Maybe a problem with extraction or some other processing on your end? I seem to recall they were sensitive about renaming and character length. Make sure they are unzipped or unRAR'ed properly, and they aren't named wrong like game name.iso.iso or something?

Where did NEC go wrong with the PC Engine?

A 45 day wait after launch should make that wish come true. 😢 -
Where did NEC go wrong with the PC Engine?

It was a fine system, but the others were better. Gaming system market share was winner take all back then, so the machine with the most success got the most developers which fed more success. Is anyone stoked for the mini console coming soon? I'm not nostalgic for the system, I don't think a mini would be cute, and besides, it is well emulated so the games are already accessible to me. When the mini console bombs and gets a steep reduction in price, perhaps I'll be tempted like with PlayStation Classic. -
It's been a long time, but everything should install and run without trouble. Are you ripping them yourself, or using someone else's disc images?

Sorry chief, 36 years ago is "old." In 1984, when Gremlins was new, you would have called anything from 1946 (36 years prior) "old." Including the book "1984" which was written two years later.

The person in charge of answering questions at "Atari's" crowdfunding campaign is ON FIRE with the "not my problem" posts today!! This one is about the so-called "Easter Egg," the only place where the uninvited CES attendee could see (but not touch) something Atari-related at the exhibition. "Atari" made a big deal of their special "hot rod" system with 32GB RAM and a 256GB SSD, but Kingston's placard said 4GB RAM and 16GB eMMC. Not to worry, Atari fans! Everything is great! And this paragraph doesn't sound defensive or weasely at all! "There was no limitation on who was seeing and interacting with the Atari VCS pre-production units ..." except for the PLEASE DO NOT TOUCH signs and the fact that it wasn't plugged into anything, of course. What kind of "interaction" did the in-person passers-by enjoy that we schlubs on the couch couldn't get from looking at that same (supposedly mislabeled) photograph?

I've asked a moderator to move the thread on your behalf. I think that's easily done. Too bad the filler games aren't so hot. I guess the same is true even if we had the full NES library. 95% of everything is crap. NES Burgertime and other Data East games are OK; I'd just as soon have a mobile emulator where I can change things around. That's another reason I've been avoiding these games. I wonder who's buying them? Kids who want retro-gaming but don't know any better? Jason Isaacs (in your signature) is a handsome and talented person.

I put that into Google Translate and converted it to French and back to English again. Can you spot the differences? I'm not gonna touch "units in their hands." smh
-
I've seen them but have not tried them. I'm somewhat curious about the many unbranded games and wonder if there are any hidden gems or relabeled classics hiding there (kinda doubt it). Part of me is glad to see the old Data East games being so available. The other part notes the same stuff everywhere, on AtGames Flashback, on Johnny Turbo Arcade for modern consoles, and on mini handhelds and tabletop arcade machines. So much Burgertime, now more than ever.

It's not too late for them to ship with Windows 10 Home, some custom Atari wallpapers, and a Steam key for Atari Vault. That would solve a bunch of the software problems and would make this more desirable to (casual) gamers.

I want to take some of those 10 or so doods who keep posting about Lynx and Jaguar games to school and remind them that just because something had an Atari label on it when they were children, doesn't mean it's coming back. I liked the SEGA Star Trek game when I was small, SEGA's Frogger for that matter. I didn't know it was Konami until somewhat recently. Atari never owned most of the games we loved to play, they just licensed them out and those days are long gone. We should make a thread where someone names an old game they like, and we can all talk about practical ways to play it, or suggest a worthy replacement. Guns, tanks and war planes? That's awfully violent! Family friendly all the way, please. Besides, there's already World of Tanks, which is just a little bit better.

Everyone has a price. Flattery seems to be enough for some, even if common sense should be screaming "run away, don't make eye contact." A cheap laptop board in a fugly 1970s-ish case running Atari Vault isn't enough to waggle my joystick, turn my paddles, or flip my RESET switch.

The slot machine bonfires in Kenya kinda-sorta remind me of the Atari desert landfill -- an extreme solution for handling the consequences of greedy and unscrupulous decisions.

I think one of the letter columns in the Marvel comic addressed it -- like the storybook, they were writing from stills and an earlier draft of the screenplay. Otherwise I would have been wondering the same thing. That and how Marvel drew "Jabba the Hut" <sic> and called Luke's plane "Blue Five." Props to Daley for writing around Jabba and making it his goon Heater instead. Same dialogue and everything. Naturally it's been retconned to fit. https://starwars.fandom.com/wiki/Heater
