  1. Yeah, this. The scalping will continue no later than September 1st. Ebay is just enforcing their "no presales until 30 days before product launch" rule. They don't want to be in the position of dealing with non-delivery disputes just yet. Lazy internet writers are blowing this up as if Ebay were standing up against opportunistic scalpers. They're just waiting a bit, that's all.
  2. That was me. I had to wait out EBay's "give them a chance to respond" periods, then they credited my seller fees back to me. Since there was effectively no transaction, I didn't get a chance to leave negative feedback, which makes me question the usefulness of these ratings. They made more sense when eBay exercised less control. The buyer still has 100% positive feedback since joining eBay in December 2016. I was perfectly polite to the dummy on the other end, so as not to give him/her anything to complain about or retaliate against. I've also blocked the buyer from any future transactions. I assume the person can't even see my listings.
  3. If it runs well on anything, it would be the Shield tablet. What's five bucks?
  4. DHL, UPS, and FEDex won't deliver to PO box, though -- because only the Post Office has access to those places. And they "need" a delivery phone number (though you can use yours as the sender in most cases, I've found)
  5. Posting an image lest someone search for the terms and get excited over a dumb joke
  6. It's five bucks and it's compatible with my GPD XD. Bought ... will try it out tonight if possible. Thanks for posting this, I would not have known about this otherwise!
  7. Why is that? Because they don't want to ship with USPS?
  8. Nope, just some more low-information teases from "Atari's" twitter. There are photos in the other threads on the topic. You haven't missed anything.
  9. I had one of those. I think you can load cheat codes to it, or maybe even back up save games if it's the version with a battery backup.
  10. https://www.gamefaqs.com/saturn/574279-sega-ages-outrun/cheats Go to Options, highlight Game Mode, then hold A + C and press Left or Right
  11. Speaking of WTF is wrong with people
  12. I remember that IGG. It's astounding to me that they hit 2855% of their target. WTF is wrong with people? Especially since it's not at all clear whether this ... looks like a Sega or whether it looks like a 1990s faxmodem Did Sega complain about the original design? The new one looks terrible.
  13. That would be a neat use of the "HD Rumble" on the Nintendo Switch. It's so satisfying to grind away a new pencil with a bolted-down crank sharpener.
  14. That sounds right to me ... I didn't have one when it was new, but I recall the FAQs around Stella Gets a New Brain. The Supercharger is a bit like the Sega 32X or the N64 Expansion Pack, in that you buy the add-on hardware ONCE and reap the benefits on standard priced (or in the case of the tapes, cheaper) software. Unfortunately, these add-ons always seemed to arrive too late to avoid splintering the market, so the cartridges with extra hardware inside (Virtua Racing, StarFox, Doom) sell better than the games that require an add-on. I love the theory, though. Boost your system and play more, cheaper, better games! I also really enjoyed converting VCS ROMs with BIN2WAV and loading them up from a PC's audio cable.
  15. That Tempest is pretty sweet. I could do without the COLECO logo, though.
  16. It happens faster than that, too. My Wiimotes get like that. My C64-on-a-stick was like that. There are probably lots of other toys I forgot about that are like that. I need to take better care of my things, and maybe stop buying bargain IKEA batteries.
  17. You and me both, brother. NintendoLife thinks it might be FCC certification. This story suggests that's not true, and that FCC certification is unnecessary for this kind of item. They go on to say:
  18. This is a fun event for learning and playing. http://americanart.si.edu/calendar/saam-arcade/ SAAM Arcade is an annual event hosted by the Smithsonian American Art Museum and its partners. The event, which is free and open to the public, is August 5 and 6, 2017 at the museum's main building in Washington, D.C. The Kogod Courtyard at night,. Photographer: Bruce Guthrie, 2016, SAAM Arcade, Smithsonian American Art Museum. This year, the museum will be filled to the brim with video games. One hundred fifty independent developers have submitted their games to be shown at SAAM Arcade while additional arcade cabinets and consoles will be provided by MagFest, Death by Audio Arcade, Arcades4Home, and CrabTowne USA. Game building workshops will be presented in the MacMillan Education Center by Boolean Girl and the Scholastic Art and Writing Awards, while the Triforce Quartet and Bit Brigade perform in McEvoy Auditorium. In addition, Events DC presents the Boys and Girls Club Youth eSports League Championship on the 3rd floor.
  19. That's pretty cool -- finally! Has anyone thrown Defender 2000 at it? Have you tried it yet?
  20. Whoops, double post. Maybe this game (and others like it) can be reworked into the "infinite runner" genre, since the "three lives and you're out" score chaser seems hopelessly old-fashioned? I have read that Super Mario Odyssey will not have GAME OVER anywhere. At last!!
  21. It has nice parallax scrolling and a cute soundtrack --that you can turn off. Surprise! Some Atari games aren't so great, especially three decades later.
  22. Eurogamer reports that eBay UK is pulling preorder auctions since the thing is more than 30 days away. http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2017-07-06-ebay-takes-on-snes-mini-scalpers-pulls-listings I wonder if Nintendo could try to limit scalpers from selling this item? Seems eBay is free to do what it wants, and the market will dictate this one.
