I have Stella Gets A New Brain somewhere ...and whatever came in the Supercharger box, which was Phaser Patrol I think. I am wondering if I should have taken better care of this stuff.

Stupid Noob Question Regarding the Jaguar Motorola 68000
Flojomojo replied to Ctoan's topic in Atari Jaguar
Clearly, I'm an idiot and you're a genius. I bow to the most amazing Jaguar programmer of this 21st century. Use your great powers for good. -
2017 Flashback FAQ and Speculation Thread
Flojomojo replied to Flojomojo's topic in AtGames Flashback and Portable Consoles
In updating the info for the top post, I noticed that AtGames is no longer mentioning bundled vintage-style paddles in the Activision Gold box. Can you clarify? -
It's easy when you're just writing gobbledegook for your college marketing class. I'm reminded of the Chameleon cartoon that said, "Yeah, sure, it will do that, whatever. Just buy it."

What is a current (2017) price for a working Vectrex system?
Flojomojo replied to Blazing Lazers's topic in Vectrex
The answer, of course, is "whatever the market will bear." For $200 shipped I would want a multicart included, but that's just me ... I gave up my monster humming Vectrex years ago and make do with Vectrex Regeneration. -
Tempest 2017 - value of an unfinished project
Flojomojo commented on EricBall's blog entry in EricBall's Tech Projects
Any progress on this? BTW I think Skeleton is super rad! -
Sega Forever suffers from poor emulation
Flojomojo commented on EricBall's blog entry in EricBall's Tech Projects
It sounds like they ditched their proprietary emulators from 2009 and tried to bundle everything into Unity, which would make it easier to port to other platforms. Why this got out of QA as is remains a mystery. -

Coleco strong-arming homebrew publishers and fan sites
Flojomojo replied to TPR's topic in ColecoVision / Adam
I think that's what Cardillo was going for, in his incompetent kind of way. The difference being that IKEA is a well-loved international manufacturer that produces items of value, and Coleco is a minor vintage trademark troll with delusions of grandeur. -
Ah. It's too bad 3-d printed stuff still looks like ass, because otherwise this is pretty cute.

Want a pro controller, what is the maximum I should pay ?
Flojomojo replied to Stephen g's topic in Atari Jaguar
I don't think the Jag is swimming in anything ... if there were a market for something like that, surely someone would have tapped it by now? -
I'm pretty sure they're pre-cut.

I guess there's a tiny bit of blue label in the Activision one, can I change my guess?

Super Nintendo Classic Edition - SNES Mini thread
Flojomojo replied to Rev's topic in Classic Console Discussion
If it were AtGames, they'd just have ports on the side. -
Personally, I think the North American SNES is butt-ugly, but I understand people are nostalgic for it. I like the European one better. You could always get a sticker sheet for the official Pi case.

Reminds me of this smart fella I would think there will be a minor flood of them on eBay as the Jagu-fans start to die off. -
2017 Flashback FAQ and Speculation Thread
Flojomojo replied to Flojomojo's topic in AtGames Flashback and Portable Consoles
I've updated the top post with all the relevant information I know about. PM me if I forgot anything! The more I look at the improvements and new capabilities added to this product line, the happier I am. -
Coleco strong-arming homebrew publishers and fan sites
Flojomojo replied to TPR's topic in ColecoVision / Adam
Maybe some of them bought multiple spaces. Or Cardillo working to lie, cheat, step on peoples's feet. Probably double-dippers, though. -
Maybe, depending on the investors. I know that as a young teen fan, even *I* thought console gaming was dead back then. I wish I could find the Nolan Bushnell quote where he said that he wished he had held on to Atari longer but sold Chuck E Cheese sooner.

Super Nintendo Classic Edition - SNES Mini thread
Flojomojo replied to Rev's topic in Classic Console Discussion
You might be right -- I just think it's silly to have moving parts or bits that are easily broken off in a device like this. I find it odd that they were so keen on replicating the look of the old SNES controller ports they would make a flap door for them. The NES Classic could have had a flip-open lid (and it looks like it should), but they didn't. Nintendo is unpredictable, that's for sure. -
Super Nintendo Classic Edition - SNES Mini thread
Flojomojo replied to Rev's topic in Classic Console Discussion
LOL yeah! There's also a button to unlock Donkey along Country 2 and 3 in there, and a code for $100 off a Nintendo Switch. Void where prohibited, some restrictions apply. -
I'd buy a green Atari. Sustainable would be great but I'm talking about green plastic, like the candy colored N64s from the late 1990's Bondi Blue iMac era. Bring it on!

Zzip, I also think your Warner scenario is unrealistic -- I doubt they'd pay through the nose to keep a failing dovision afloat. Then again, they'd buy AOL for $160B a decade later, so who knows what kind of bonkers things would happen? Maybe if they still had Atari, their investors would have lost their appetite for crazy investment schemes, and they'd be an even bigger media force than they are today. It's only because of Microsoft's willingness to lose massive amounts of cash over many years that we have an Xbox division, the biggest game hardware maker in the west. It takes serious cash to play in this space.

Super Nintendo Classic Edition - SNES Mini thread
Flojomojo replied to Rev's topic in Classic Console Discussion
Tanooki -- justify it however you like (I do the same kind of thing in my head), but these are roms in a box with nice controllers. :-) Schizo -- we'll likely never know Nintendo's reasoning. Most (but not all) of the SNES games available on 3DS are in the Mini. I'm through trying to guess what they'll do next.
