  1. For the curious I put it back together today, and it still works! So lesson learned, keep anything valuable in a plastic container...
  2. Thanks for the tips; I haven't powered it up yet. The metal box is soldered on, so no getting it off with my skills. I'll try cleaning it with the vinegar water and let it sit until next weekend, then see if it makes pretty smoke or not. If it doesn't work is the case still worth anything? It is in pretty good shape as well as the accessories.
  3. Long story short I had a water leak that flooded downstairs into a closet, where my system was sitting on the floor in a cardboard box. Due to being out of town and stuff I didn't get a chance to pull everything out of the closet until yesterday and found water pouring out of the system, along with all the manuals being trashed. At least the carts and everything else were untouched. I took the system apart and besides some rust it looks kind of ok, except for the large rectangular thing that I can't get into, I know that there is still water in there rusting things up. It has been sitting for around 20 days like that, I took some alcohol and cleaned half the back of the board to see what it would do, but I'm concerned about that metal box (transformer?).
