  1. I don't know if you have Radio Shack, but that's where I got them from.
  2. Last one sold for $14.99 plus $29.99 shipping eBay Auction -- Item Number: 330725541455 So, not that much.
  3. My local store has bunch of Ngage games for $4.99 I think the website is for Austin location, but you can call the San Antonio one if you want. https://www.gameovervideogames.com/store/store?page=shop.browse&manufacturer_id=144&limitstart=0
  4. No calibration required, it's a self containing unit (at least I didn't do it). The tricky part is to remove it from the rails. Just follow instructions from web or youtube.
  5. If you can play CD based games and play music CDs, but DVD based games or movies don't work, then it is probably your laser. I fixed one few years back and it wasn't that hard. Total cost $20 to fix it.
  6. I would keep the Amiga. Many years ago I sold my A4000 because I was frustrated in how slow it renders in Lightwave 3D, and just recently I was frantically looking for one, I really wanted it back. At the same time I had A600 and with this one I felt that it was just so slow, so I sold it. At that time I did not think about collecting. Few years ago I found A600 in Goodwill for $40!!!. I was so exited, I got it and been happy since, and now, I don't care that is slow. The moral story is, to keep what you have, you may regret it later. To make your life easier, just get the floppy emulator, you can use it in many systems, so it's a great investment. On the side note, I was playing with PS3 Linux that I got installed few years back, before Sony pulled plug on it (I didn't upgrade the FW). I got old Fedora 6 on it with E-UAE. Finally got it working using hardfiles. I got it with 2 virtual HDs, one with WB and other with WHDLoad games. Works great and with sound.
  7. We will have NO chance if 20 or more people are interested. The game looks interesting and I can't wait to play it.
  8. So did you get enough registrants? Still did not get any instructions how to pay for it.
  9. I will take your Sony Movie Studio
  10. Then why use a stealth chip, those are 100% for piracy purposes? Can you use them to play imports??
  11. Got some questions: Is the shipping included to USA for the game? Is the game shipping on the floppy disk? I like puzzle games, I will get it for sure,
  12. I'm using 5v 1200mA (1.2A) switching PS with positive center. Would any of these work? http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001KU44HE/ref=as_li_ss_tl?ie=UTF8&tag=atariage&linkCode=as2&camp=1789&creative=390957&creativeASIN=B001KU44HE http://www.jameco.co...ode=WSF&CID=GMC They should fit and work (I verified the dimensions)
  13. 400mA is still quite a lot for the joystick ports. I'll have to see what the draw is on the ST 5V rail normally. Where did you find the 500mA spec for joystick ports? Sorry, I put too many zeros, s/b 50mA http://jack.logicalsystems.it/homepage/techinfo/pinouts.asp?Code=conjoy_amiga_mouse_joy
  14. I had same problem and I changed just one cap and it works great. Be careful when removing the cap, I accidentally took the pad off, so I had to solder one leg of the cap at different point.
  15. OK, I had some time today and tested the scan doubler for power requirement. When the unit is powered on w/o any inputs it uses around 250mA, when there is a RGB input and goes from standby to ON then it uses 400mA. It does look like the 2A (2000mA) requirement is way over "spec-ed". This is why you can run it using power from the joystick port, I guess the limit for joystick port is 500mA. Anyone can verify my findings?
  16. I'm using 5v 1200mA (1.2A) switching PS with positive center.
  17. Still looking... the example I found is for Apple I may have to go through some Commodore magazines and look for examples.
  18. Here is the gate circuit very similar to the one posted above.
  19. There are few ways to get the composite sync: 1. Using LM1881, only works with composite out models like STFM 2. Using logic gates (I will look for a link) 3. Combine both sync with resistors and http://www.atari-forum.com/viewtopic.php?f=15&t=17153&start=25 and http://eab.abime.net/showthread.php?t=51326 go and experiment!
  20. It's GBS-8220 , search on ebay for "Arcade VGA" many of them are shipped from China at around $30 with free shipping. I have one of those boards and it works great with Amiga PCs. ST requires a sync combiner, because the 15KHz input needs composite sync and ST provides H+V only. If you have a ST with composite OUT then you could extract sync signal from it using an IC (I forgot the #).
  21. I did find something...http://www.atariarchives.org/cgp/Ch03_Sec07.php
