  2. I had a similar problem with Atari ST, Atari 130XE and others using external TV tuner. For some add reason the tuner would not sync properly and would display bad picture. When I run the video out from Atari to TBC and then to the TV tuner, the picture would get perfect. I did that few years ago, so I'm not sure if it will cause any lag.

I have couple internal TBCs on my Amiga 2000, so it is a little bulky. I need to come up with a cleaner solution. :)

I think you are on the right track.

On the other hand, you could try composite to VGA adapters if you have one of those NES that have composite out.

  3. A reserve means (to me) "no matter how much you bid, it won't be enough"

other people might feel differently, but that's the way it went when I used to ebay.

Same for me, I usually skip "reserve" actions, and to me it means "I know how much I want for it, but lets see, how much more I can get for it"

I like "Buy It Now" with Best Offer Option, and this means to me "This is how much I want for it, but I'm ready to negotiate"

To get best price for rare items, you need to advertise it everywhere, the more people know about it the better.

  4. This is why I never buy discs from movie rental places. In fact I stopped buying carts because of the "VOID" stickers that were used as well. I have a few carts where the silver label with the rental shop's name had been peeled off (by the shop owners), leaving a sticky residue of "VOID VOID VOID" all over the plastic of the cart (if you're lucky) or on the label (if you're not so lucky). And I've tried everything under the sun to get that stuff off and it just won't clear away.

So yeah, not a big fan of buying games used from rental shops. Now movies, that's a different story. But then again I don't really collect movies, so I'm not picky about those.

    One word: WD40

Very good at removing glue. You could try on carts, not on CDs.

  5. It's not going to work.

First, we don't know who's bidding on the item, AA members are not the only ones that bid, and are probably only fraction of all bidders.

Second, Maybe seller does not care what price he sell it for.

Third, You don't know who sent the msg to the seller, so you don't know who should be punished.

Forth, Maybe the dog really ate the item.

There are probably more arguments not to make a rule out of it.

  6. But do any games take advantage of the modes offered by Graffiti? Do Ham-E, DVTV, and FunCclor use this same technique?

Not that I'm aware of. If there are *any*, I bet there's fewer than that, that were made for the X-Specs. :rolling:

    Handful of cool demos however.

New ADoom port supports Graffiti as well as Indivision ECS, some people got ADoom working on A600 with ACA630 and Indivision ECS.

  7. For the mouse, pretty much an ebay item, they come up fairly regularly

Don't worry about the TOS version too much, in fact like the Amiga the later revisions have compatability problems with some stuff

It is pretty simple to convert certain PC FDD's to Atari mode, I have never bothered with getting them up to 1.44meg spec, like you say, no good for original discs.

If you want to use your PC to write some floppy discs, the drive on the PC must be connected direct to the PC floppy port, you cant use USB devices.

There is a great PC utility to write ST discs, first you need to install THIS PROGRAM onto your PC and then FloImg. Only use 720k discs though or you will have problems

This anyone try to use this program LS120? Its got 1.44 compatibility built in.

  8. PSOne (the mini white one), two white Dual Shocks, third party memory card. Working w/power supply and RF cord.

The rubber cover on the left stick is ripped on both controllers. Otherwise it's all just peachy. :)

    I will take it!

    PM sent!

I just got the PSOne LCD screen last week for a project, but I may just keep it for this.

  9. OK, I should note that I live in the USA, and am only interested in playing US-NTSC games-would a 1040STFM still be the best option? What would I have to use to hook up a "regular" Atari ST to my TV? If it's RF, then I'd be OK with that, if it would be a cheaper computer to buy then the STFM.

STFM has RF video output on RCA connector, and composite out from 13PIN connector. You need special cable to get composite out. You can get them sometimes from EBAY or you can make one yourself. I found a good source for that special connector and is cheap too.
