  1. It's like someone would say "I have a puppy for sale, if it's not sold then I will kill it".

Out off kindness you will buy the puppy, but this is not a puppy, so I'm not sure what is the purpose of that message.

  2. Just came across this auction on Ebay for Amiga 3000 eBay Auction -- Item Number: 1605773651761?ff3=2&pub=5574883395&toolid=10001&campid=5336500554&customid=&item=160577365176&mpt=[CACHEBUSTER]with this description "This is the third time that I have listed this computer. If it does not sell this time, it will be destroyed!" . By advertising that the machine would be destroyed if it doesn't sell, is just childish. I'm not sure if anyone will try to purchase it from this seller. He will sell it for $250 + $90 shipping (I got mine shipped for $30 by FedEX) , if not it will be destroyed :?

In my opinion, this is not the smartest way to sell your gear

    Any thoughts?

  3. As an Amiga user, I would recommend Amiga 1200 as your #1 choice.

    1. Can play WHDload games fine from HD, can use flash drive as a HD replacement,

    2. Easy transfer floppy images from PC to Amiga via PCMCIA port using PCMCIA-CF adapter

    3. Composite, RF and RGB video output,

    4. AGA graphics, can play AGA games

    5. Can be modded with internal CDROM drive

    6. 2MB RAM stock, need to expand if using WHDLOAD

I love mine and is the only one that is ready to fire up on my desk.

    Good luck

  4. Hmmmm....I deleted quite afew.

OK I think the problem with the pm is from my subscription just ending and my pm box shrunk.

Im going to have to go thru some major deleting then.

I also think that I can get pms if I send them out first still, cuz certain ppl have gotten to me.:ponder:

still interested in A4000, but I can not get through the PM to you  :x

    Thanx

  6. I just tried the resistor method to get CSYNC and it works fine and solid. There is another way to combine sync with xor gates but is not working for me, it jumps every 1s or so, not very stable.

    Here are some pics...

    Does medium res work also?

Id love to find a good 1040STF->LCD color cable setup. I got the monochrome cable which works great.

dont get too exited, you still need the above RGB to VGA converter. The problem with my converter is that it needs CSYNC, which ST does not have. I will try med resolution tonight, but I think it worked last time I checked. Another note is that if you want to play PAL games, it does not work.

  7. Freaking AWESOME!icon_mrgreen.gif

So what was the total cost?

    Let's see...

    Table - $75

    Gas to get table $20

    Arcade joystick $20

Arcade buttons (they light-up when ON) $15

    Namco All-in-one games $30

Monitor was free, you can get it on EBAY for $15-25

Speakers were free, common PC speakers

    Composite to VGA converter $38

    Power strip $10

    aluminum Edge $10

Extra wood for the bottom $10

Misc screws, nails, hinges, magnets, I'm not sure

5V DC power supply for the game, free from wireless adapter

Black paint, $3 for a sample.

Now.. the viewing angle is not that great, but I'm not playing it that much. When a Galaga bug comes on me, then it's ready for auction.

There are others who make arcade tables from IKEA, just type "IKEA arcade table" in google under pictures search, you'll see.

  8. This arcade CGA-VGA converter "GBS 8200 CGA/EGA/YUV TO VGA converter" works OK in ST, not the best and requires some mods. So far I got it working on Amiga (60 Hz only), STe and NEO GEO MVS. The problem with this converter is, if the input refresh rate is other then 60Hz, then the output will get frozen. So PAL games are out of question.

The major problem with ST video output is the sync. I had to create composite sync CSync from HSync and VSync. I have seen few ways getting CSync from ST. I only tried one of them. You could extract CSync from Composite video out using one IC, but that only works with STM or STFM models. If I could get proper video connector. I could play with it some more.
