I had a problem with going up/down on all joysticks, finally I got a POKEY chip from Ballblazer for Atari 7800 and after replacing it, it worked. I wonder if the chip went bad because of unplugging controllers with power on????

I have a rare game for TI99 called Treasure Island, the cart is in perfect or near mint condition in an open box with instructions. The plastic box is not sealed and it has some damage, not that much. The instr. are perfect, not even one crease. The cart was tested on my TI99 and it works fine. Another item is Nintendo's LCD game for 1 or 2 players called MICRO VS. SYSTEM Donkey Kong 3. Just installed fresh batteries and it works great. the value on EBAY for this item is from $30 to $60 ( there is someone selling it for $200, but thats too much) --SOLD I'm into collecting Atari and Amiga systems, so these items may go to some who appreciate them more then me. I just purchase from this forum atari Jaguar so I need some games for it. Anyway...I'm really looking for a trade for some Atari Jaguar games or 3DO games, like Primal Rage, Doom, Cannon Fodder or I will trade for Primal Rage for 32X, I'm interested in carts only, no need for boxes. the games I'm looking for are: ->want these more ->Atari Karts, ->Cannon Fodder ->Sky Hammer Rayman Ultra vortex Pinball Fantasies ->AvP PM me with interest

Received the Jaguar with games, very fast shipping, and works great, Thank you -
I needed one POKEY chip, so I got one from Ballblazers for Atari 7800 for few $$$ on Ebay. I used it to fix my 5200.

I know that its been many months since last post, but I have good news. I finally found time to tinker with the 5200. After your comment about the POKEY chip, I did some surfing and found out that the chip is soldered inside some 7800 game cartridges. I got from EBAY Ballblazer for 7800, desoldered the chip, replaced it, and it's working very well. Finally after sitting in my closet for over 12 or so years the sucker is working.

So far the sw will not fit all files in 720kb disk, in total is around 800kb. I need to play with RAM disk program.... another stumbling block

Cool, let me play with that... Thanx

Hi, Do any of you have ever came across TB303 emulation software for Atari ST using the Atari's Yamaha sound chip? My ST is itching to do something in that area. There is some cool software on C64, like MSSIAH, or 303 Tracker for Amiga.

I got an 2006 Evo MR few years ago, and it still got 15000 miles on it. I don't drive it that much anymore. Before that, I was looking for something like that, very nice car, I bet you get nice comments about it, but now I have the ultimate rally car. I got the Evo shipped for $1000, so shipping is not that bad. Good luck, and for a payment I would not accept check or money order, just cash or PayPal (PayPal charges around 3% so don't be surprised by it).

New Video Adapter for S-Video On Atari ST/TT Systems
amiman99 replied to Kjmann's topic in Atari ST/TT/Falcon Computers
I had, and still do,have a problem with my ST's working with LCD Monitor via TV tuner (the tuner I have, contains RF input, composite, and SVIDEO with VGA out). The sync signals somehow are not compatible, Macrovision effect. The ones with sync problem were 520ST, 1040STF, Atari 5200, TI99. On the other hand, all my Amigas worked perfectly. The Schematic on this website http://www.preromanbritain.com/gwem/martbean/ataridiy/conv.htm shows the H and V sync combined using an AND gate, I did not try this myself so I'm not sure it will work in your application. To get my ST display correctly on LCD I use TBC - Time Base Corrector, very bulky and not practical. The TBC strips the old sync and generates new one. -
Hi MEtalGuy66, I got interest in Atari for few years now - ST and 8bit, Amiga+C64 since 1990. I like to tinker with the old stuff for fun, little distraction from modern PCs. The SIO2PC is a neat device, load games from PC or write it the real disk, cool stuff. Finally got it to work with a real drive. Thanx to Rybags for his input. Other cool stuff, I was able to convert CAS files to WAV, then play it back from MP3 player to the tape drive, I used cassette converter. I works very nice. Playing back WAV files on C64's tape drive does not work as well as the Atari, most games I have tried, pause few times during playback, I need to pause the MP3 player at the right time...anyway it's fun On Amiga, got some ADF files, copy to CF Card, read it on A1200 with PCMCIA to CF card and convert it to a real disk.

Thank you for the info... I just got SIO2PC and I'm trying to copy DOS disk from PC to Real Drive, I hope it works. Nothing better then playing games on original hardware MM

Hi, Can someone tell me how to change the drive number on 1050 disk drive? there are some switches in the back of the drive. I have been looking all over and I can't find any info. Thank you

I did not have solder sucker that time, so the wire did not go through, I'll fix it, I promise! anyway, the drive works fine in single sided mode, I think it's the PCB blocking the side change signals. I will try to isolate it first to see what happens.

I posted this in different forum, but I got no responses.... Hi, My drive finally gave out, would not format disks anymore, also the belt broke too. After replacing the belt with rubber band, it made it spin, but still no format anymore. So I installed a DS/DD drive (HD too) Epson SMD-320 into it, it works fine in Single Side Mode, but it won't format in Double Side. Can someone tell me what else I need to do for Atari ST recognize that I have Double Sided drive. I read some other forums that I need to only do the swap, but is not working like that. In the Atari pin outs I did see pin for "Side 0 Select", but on the floppy pin out there is no pin "Side 0 Select". Extra pins I found were: "Density Select" and "Disk Change/ Ready" I have seen some one posting that they replaced the drive with double density and it worked, but it does not in may case. By default the voltage at pin 32 "Side Select" is 4.7VDC, when I grounded the pin, I was able to format the other side. Also the ribbon cable is too short and I can't do the twist, I need some ribbon extender, because the other side of the ribbon is soldered. Thanx. I got some parts to replace the original ribbon cable...here is the pic

It worked fine, the light came on, but I don't have dos disk to try it. I think I will get SIO2PC to copy some disks now.

Thanx, I will try it as soon as I find a disk for it.

I replaced the drive with Epson SMD-320, and I can format and access the disks now as a SS/DD. The SMD-320 is a Flexible Drive capable HD/DD drive, but I can't format DS/DD 720k on the atari 520STm. Is it the limitation of the SF354 PCB or there is something else I can do to make it DS/DD? Did some one attempted to do that?
-
I took the drive a part, and is not spinning. Looks like a newer model, because it uses 34 pin ribbon. I have couple old drives with disk select option, I will try to replace it and see what it does.
-
Hi, Can I format ds/dd disks in that drive? SF354 I know that the drive is ss/dd, but I'm having some problems formating ds/dd disks as ss/dd. Do I need to cover some hole? or the disks are the same? Does anyone has some pictures of ss/dd disks, front and back? The drive is recognizing that is write protected Thank you

Hi, I got a 1050 disk drive w/o power supply, can someone tell me which p/s I need. Voltage, Amp, AC or DC? Can I use p/s from 1010 Tape Drive? Thanx
