I have over 1200 different videogames for the following systems:
Atari 2600
Atari 5200
Atrai 7800
Colecovision
IntelliVision
IntelliVision Computer
Nintendo NES
Sega Master
Vectrex
All games (except prototypes) are in their original packaging. Most game collections (except Nintendo and Sega) are "complete" or nearly so. There are many rare games, including prototypes of which only a literal handful exist.
In addition to the games, the collection includes all game consoles and many accessories, including third-party products. Some are quite rare, including the Answer Software Personal Game Programmer for the 2600, which never made it to retail. (Less than a dozen prototypes were manufactured, and of the three whose whereabouts are known, only two are in the hands of collectors.)
Finally, there are magazines, manufaturer's literature, and promotional items.
This is a comprehensive, "real" collection, in excellent to mint condition, not just a pile of dirty, busted-up stuff scrounged at garage sales. The asking price is $75,000 (which includes packing, shipping, and insurance), but I'm willing to dicker. I'd like to find someone willing to buy this collection and donate it to the Smithsonian, who wants it but has no money for acquisitions.
I will not, under any circumstance, sell individual collections for specific systems. However, I would seriously consider a $60,000 offer for the Atari collections.
I'll be happy to send a list to serious parties.

The real "value" of something is what it actually sells for.
Does anyone know of a similar comprehensive, high-quality collection that has actually sold for a five-figure price?
