  1. I would have to say, I would love to see Arkanoid on the Coleco or the Intv! I do believe Opcode is working on CV Arkanoid. Isnt there also an Atari 8-bit Ark? I want to get that!
  2. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=290346698512&ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT Agg, 214 hits, 20 watchers, but no bidders! Someone get the ball rolling lol! Im almost tempted to remove it if noone starts bidding, I set the shipping too low
  3. I have a Yobo brand Famicom Twin, it has been excellent, no hardware problems, plays all games just fine, including SNES titles that use the SuperFX chip. The same company also has the Turbo Trio, an NES/SNES/GEN in-one system with a hybrid paddle that would please both the Nintendo and Sega fan boy!
  4. Happy birthday to the system that gave birth to the true massive online game play!
  5. HOLY CRAP! I really have been missing out only having Pac Man, Dig Dug & Galaxian for my 8-bit systems! Thanks for all of the references. !
  6. Ive mostly been buying for Coleco/ Intv lately, But I did recently score a bundle 2600 & 7800 games including Food Fight, Karateka, Mario Bros, DK & DKjr, Dig Dug, Crystal Castles, Dark Cavern, Swordquest: Earthworld, Galaxian, jr. Pac, and a few others all boxed. Only $10
  7. Yes, it was a long period of no usage. Thanks for the tips! Gonna try this when I get home from work!
  8. Meeting up on Saturday my friend not Friday. Is there a planned time yet?
  9. I opened it up and she's clean as a whistle. Can seem to figure out why the keys arent working. Is this a common problem, and is there a solution?
  10. Woohoo, i'll belooking through the 300+ pages of this thread when choosing a new game
  11. Wow! I remember playing Diablo back in the day. I ran a clan called GWOD, the Guardian Wolves of Diablo. We called ourselves PKK's, we were like the body guards of the Newbs, giving them a chance to level and get good items without being attacked by jerkoff PK's. We also used a hack called Bobafette. We didn't use it to cheat our level, but we would use it to dup good items, and give them as gifts to dedicated newbs and new GWOD members. I miss that :-/ Bobafette does not work any more, and GWOD and our website have kinda dissipated. It would be really cool to find a trusted group of people ant start a new clan. I never much got into Diablo II.
  12. I have heard talk about development on these, and I have heard of the Cuttle or Crock Carts (?) but cant seem to find any info on them. Are there any still being produced and/or available for purchase?
  13. Both my Wizard of War and Blue Print are both white cases I got them from my sister in law when I was 8.
  14. Thanks for the info! Anyone have any suggestion as for good games? I have the basics, Pac-Man, Dig Dug, Galaxian, and Star Raiders. I hear there is a version of Arkanoid!?
  15. I need to know primarily all of the games released for the 400, as I have had one for so long, but have very few games for it. Were all games for the 8-bit compatible with both the 400 and 800, or were there 800 games that did not work on the 400? Are all/ most of the 400 games backwards compatible with the 1200XL? Thank you!
  16. Thats cool! Is there a planned time to meet up there on Friday? I didnt know so many people were from this area :!:
  17. Wow, when I stumbled upon this page, I never though so many people would be from Michigan, let alone minutes away! Im from Woodhaven, I would not have a problem meeting at Pinball Pete's or going to the get together. :!: Should we bring anything other than ourselves?
  18. I did not know there was an AA meeting in Michigan (at least not the AA meeting im talking about) haha. Could you let me know more about the event? Where is Pinball Pete's? Its this a monthly thing?? Excuse my laziness, but where did you find the spray paint? I was in Home Depot today and I didn't see any there unless I was simply not looking in the right location... Home Depot does have them, and they are cheaper than the hobby/craft shops. But I got mine at Michaels for triple the price before I knew this They only carry orange and yellow though, I believe.
  19. I painted all of the walls, and the floor black. I made the stencils with poster board and used fluorescent spray paints. I also painted the pipes and vents with green fluorescent. I still intend on adding more shelves to hold boxed games and such. It really looks much better with the main light off, especially at night (which is when I am usually playing games anyway). The room really gives off an Arcade feeling, I just need a soundtrack of Pacman and Centipede with people talking and popping in quarters Download the arcade ambiance MP3s - there's two of them and play them simulaneously in separate MP3/CD players located on opposite sides of the room. You'll have to G00gle it - I don't remember where I found them... I like the imperfections of the fluorescent spray paint...looks really cool... Yeah, I went for some drip and splatter effects, it looks pretty nice when the black lights are on. Some of the stencils I made up look pretty crisp, The space invaders on the door really pop out. I like the sorta "graffiti" look to it Thanks for the comments.
  20. Good point. I do still have all the parts if I ever want to re-assemble it. and Jess, it was no $3000 machine, it was not in the greatest condition. I was filled with mouse poop and spiders and dust, the marquee was all busted up, and the rubber pin stripe on one side is missing. I am going to put it to use though. I am going to make a new Plieades marquee, and make it the game the system boots too, plus it will play more games. Also, I am going to replace the screen with something along the lines of a 20" flat lcd monitor. I just got bummed when I looked it up and realized how popular this particular Cabin is.. it even has its own wiki page :!:
  21. I scored a Plieades cabin in exchange for doing a Tattoo.. Pheonix was always one of my favorite arcade games growing up, but I DO NOT remember Plieades.. when I got the cabin, it was in working order, it just needed a good cleaning.. but instead I gutted it to turn it into a MAME arcade What did I do!? Why didn't I look it up first? Thats not like me Oh well.. i'll have it boot up to Plieades, and i'll make a new Marquee for it. I DO still have the game board, and all of the parts I removed. Let this be a lesson, research before action! (7:00 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OyTBZ8MCGHk )
