  12. I figured since I am here to stay and I enjoy the people in this community, that I would finish up my profile and add some galleries (mainly my art, pets, and my collection). I was able to create the folders, but when I click "Upload Bulk", I will try to upload 5 at time, but then I get an error message prompting me to contact the site admin Any help, thanks!
  13. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=380152735445&_trksid=p2759.l1259 Usually when I see these kind of idiotic auctions I just roll my eyes, and im not one to usually be mean, but being an avid Intv collector.. I had to send him a message: "Haha, these are so scarce that I have four master components (1 system I, 2 system II's, and one system III) TWO boxed computer modules ($25 each) a boxed synth ($25) and TWO boxed system changers ($50 each) I am sorry to be the barer of bad news, but your collection here is only worth between $125 to $200, and you would be lucky to get that. Also, the Synthensizer and ECS were sold at Toys R Us, Wolworth, and Sears between 83-86' going from around $50 to $24 each (the price stickers are still on my boxes) Also, it has not been 30-40 years since you have used these.. the first Intv was released tail end of 79', and these components were released end of 83'. But hey, if you happen to get anywere near what you asking, let me know, because that would mean my collection is worth $6000. Get some facts straight @ http://www.intellivisionlives.com http://www.intellivision.org"
  14. I voted yes/good, but only under one circumstance: You must have played and or owned it on the original hardware first. IE, dont review an Atari 2600 games via emulation, if you have not fully played the games on an actual VCS 2600. etschuetz, I understand what your trying to say and all. I doubt you pissed off any fan boy of either system so much as stating incorrect information about the two systems. It would be a good idea to do a little more research about the two, and play some of the better games made for the two systems. Try Thunder Castle or Tower of Doom for Intellivision. It may change your perspective on the system. Or try any arcade port on Coleco! For me, none of the 3 systems could come out on top. They are all different, they are all best. They all have their disadvantages, and their advantages. I collect more for the Intellivision, and aim to have a complete collection, where as Atari, I have several different models. And Coleco, with the Adam Computer and 2600 expansion Love em all!
  15. Looks like yes is winning, and under $100, why the hell not? EDIT: Forgot to say, ADD ME! (to the list)
  16. See my post in auction central...should be in marketplace. Atari 5200 with 47 carts and TWO working switch boxes for $300 or BO. Sorry, not looking to spend that much. My limit is preferably $100 or less including ship.
  17. Atari 2600: Jungle Hunt. I was always impressed by the multiple scrolling back ground, and the amount of screens, all of which had their own game play. Atari 7800: DK. Not saying its the best looking game on they system, I was however impressed that this adaptation was even better looking than the one on Colecovision. Intellivision: Thunder Castle! This game definitely pushed the Intv to the limit. It has a great title, three beautifully detailed screens, each with their own very detailed intermissions. Not to mention classical renditions for in game music! NES: Kirbys Dreamland, just because of how colorful it was. Really showed off the NES's impressive (for the time) color pallet. GameBoy: Donkey Kong Land. SNES: Donkey Kong Country, hands down! At the time, people were quite suprised that amount of animation and color could be brought to the system. SNES Mode7: Super Mario Kart. SNES SuperFX: Star Fox, Back when polygons and 3D rail shooters were unheard of on the home console, this was the selling point of the SNES. SNES SuperFX2: Doom! I was always amazed the Williams was able to bring such an amazing port of Doom to the SNES, even with the help of SuperFX2. It may have chugged along at just enough framerates, and just enough resolution to be considered playable, but unlike the horrid Sega 32X version, the SNES included all original graphics, great musical score, all weapons and enemys, and original secrets, and all three episodes with the correct boss stages. N64: Turok 2. This game had some pretty impressive graphics for its time, even by todays standards, the game still looks good. Not to mention it introduced new innovative multiplay, and well.. the cerebral bore GBA: Doom II, Duke Nukem Advance, and F-Zero GX Saturn: NiTES Dream Cast: Shenmue. I was blown away the first time I seen that level of realism. Hard to believe its almost 10 years old already
  18. Haha, speaking of which, I was looking at Jaguars, and one guy had one that said just that: "Cannot test it, as I do not have the av or power adapters", yet one listing under the Jag, why, that looks like he's selling, *GASP*, av and a power adapter for a Jag? Thanks for the tips. I'm going to try to get one from this community if its possible, before looking at eBay anymore.
  19. I have been wanting a 5200 for some time now, but every time I spot one there is a problem, broken controller, missing "game box" if its 4 port (which is what I prefer), or if it is in good shape, they happen to have the box (which I dont really need) and want way too much for it. So if anyone has one, or any tips, let me know! Thanks *EDIT* Oops. I didn't realize but I placed this in Auction Central, thought I was in wanted Someone move me please?
  20. wow my thoughts are exact opposite if you buy one from a garage sale or yard sale and it doesnt work it will be thrown through their front window at midnight Lol! I probably should not buy one on eBay then, most of them seem skiddish with "No rf adapter", and "AS IS"... I'll post up in the wanteds... Thanks

  22. WOW. That is an amazing find, on the side of the road? Its like the gods sent it to ya, lol. Good luck with it. If you really want help from people that know a lot about them, I recommend this site http://www.vintage-computer.com/vcforum/forumdisplay.php?f=46 I have an account here, it is also a good community with a marketplace, much like AA.
  23. Ive been shopping for a 5200, but one thing I seem to see a lot is "Everything is here, I just dont have the RF switch to test it so its AS IS". How many of you have bought a system with such a statement, but it actually worked? Because to me that means, "The system is broken, so im just saying that I dont have an RF switch." Am I mistaken? How risky is it I really want one because I have a 2600, 7800, 400, and 1200XL, and ive been very curious of it. It seems I have been missing out.
