Ebay. Long time ago. I think I got it from Australia. I'd part with it as I have a perfectly good white model, but it would cost you. It does look ultra snazzy though... You're the second or third person to ask me about it in so many months. Are the brown ECS units that rare? Tempest Rare in the US since they were never released here. To be honest, I dont really even see the US white ones a whole lot. In the past year I think ive only seen one ECS on eBay, and the one at Destiny games. If your willing to part though, let me know what you would take for it! Then we could meet up at Destiny or something.

Please help with the ColecoVision Opgrade Module
jeremysart replied to opcode's topic in Opcode Games
I like the idea of the 14k cart, which would be the simplest and most cost effective, however, at the same time there are some good points throughout this thread. *Your original Colecovision will not last forever, infact it could stop working at any time (like mine, which now will not display games properly) *The audience to which this is being created im sure is more than willing to pay $100-$200 for the project. *If this stand alone has a cartridge slot for coleco games, how costly would it be to include room for the expansion module? *I also like the idea of stand alone, because like the cuttle for Intv, it can include an SD slot for loading roms. Very nice. I understand that a percentage of people want to be playing right on the original system and feel a separate unit would defeat the purpose, but the above points are things to thing about. You would still be using your original controllers, using some of your original carts, and on a unit that largely resembles a colecovision, is a coleco on a chip, and comes from the passion of colecovision enthusiast. Of course my biggest recommendation is to keep it recognizable as something colecovision, just like the Atari Flashback 2 resembles a shrunken 2600. -
Yeah, it is a cosmetic thing. Ive always thought it would be cool to see all four system pieces hooked together and matching. By the way, how did you happen upon the brown euro ECS? Ive always wanted one of the to match the Intv I. Its a bummer the Intv dont get a lot of love around here, its a great system.

Interesting indeed. Though a lot of people consider the Jag to be a failed system, it actually has a LOT of potential, and is a perfect platform for development. Too bad there arent many good or complete emulators available.

Is there anyone else out there that would like to see an Intellivoice that would match the Intellivision II and its Components (Computer Module, System Changer, Synthensizer) ?? We already have a prototype design, and PLENTY of loose intellivoices around. But who or where could make the mold possible, or mod the internals of the intellivoice to fit it? How much would something like this cost?

Wizard was a pretty fun game.

Intellivision Game Shrinkwrapped (New or Original)?
jeremysart replied to Tempest's topic in Intellivision / Aquarius
Its always kick ass to find stuff that is factory sealed, just thinking that its been sitting around unscathed for over 20 years. I still have some sealed "digital data packs" for the Adam lol. I also happened across a sealed copy of Windows 3.1 so I could get my old 286 back on its feet. -
Hmm.. I had my PSP hacked, and im playing Intellivision, NES, Snes, Genesis, GB, GBA, N64 (most games run chuggy, but Mario Kart and Mario 64 run ok) Plus PSP Doom, Duke 3D, Quake, Heretic, and Hexen. With a 4 gig flash card, you can fit a LOT of Roms!!!!

Games that were WAY too easy for you..
jeremysart replied to retrorussell's topic in Classic Console Discussion
Intellivision: Tropical Touble by Imagic (which ironically uses the same sprites from Beauty and the Beast, another pretty easy game) This game is so easy once you figure out what the hell is going on, I could play it the whole day without dying once. Atari 2600: Mario Bros (I love showing this one to friends, most of them didnt know there was Mario before NES.. chumps) I could play that game for two three hours without dying and I have. Once you get up to level 15-20 it really does not get any harder. NES: Super Mario 3.. ok, so this is one of my ALL TIME favorites, and was a challenge when I was like 6.. but I can whiz through that game so fast. I have played it so many times, it looks like the computer playing because I know where 90% of the secrets are, and I never get killed. N64: Yoshi's Story, which is a PUKE version of Yoshis Island (which is a GREAT game!) -
Intellivision Game Shrinkwrapped (New or Original)?

Im sure some of the games are factory, I know some of the Imagic games I opened looked brand new.. :-/ but quite a few I could tell had been used. You must have passed up the boxed ECS he had up there? It was only $25 -

You got those from Destiny games. They are not factory sealed, Ted seals them himself. I opened a few of them, to know they were not factory because the manuals have tears or the overlay has a wrinkle. So dont get too excited, we can pretend (I wont open up that copy of Congo Bongo) -

Im pretty certain that was the commercial for NES in Auatralia.. where the Master System outsold the NES. -
I hear ya bro. Its like quitting smoking.. you gotta know when to put your foot down. When your barely scraping by, like we both probably are, because work is slow (two days this week!? yeah thatll pay the rent) its probably best to avoid eBay or thrift markets. I feel like I got what I wanted for now, I pretty complete Intv II collection. I'll start looking for more once I get my car and my credit card paid off. Hey, anyone want paintings of their favorite classic systems? I can do that ^_^

Man I was watching a Boxed Colecovision, with the 2600 (module 1) adapter, and the Steering wheel (module 2) both boxed, plus a boxed copy of Turbo, and several games... well the auction ended while I was at work and the wife bid a second to late for me.. ended up going for $45!!! Man.. I did recently acquire and Intv II with box, ECS boxed, System Changer boxed, AND the music Synthesizer boxed..and sealed copies of Congo Bongo, WSMLB, and Fathom. That ended up running me just a little over $250 ish Not too bad though when you think about it.. just one modern video game system is well over $250... not to mention new games are like $60 a piece, so why feel so bad about spending $70 on a rare gem? If it came down too it, I would sell my Wii that never gets used to get some more classic goodness. But.. I should put the brakes on and pay some of my cards off huh

What is the best NES clone system available today?
jeremysart replied to tremoloman2006's topic in Classic Console Discussion
The FC Mobile was really a poor design, I wouldnt buy one.. However, they really did go all out with the FC Mobil II. I liked that they fixed some of the screen problems, such as the horrible colors flaws, and I liked the introduction of wireless nes controllers and zappa gun. I do own an FC Twin, which like the Turbo Duo is both an NES + Snes in one. I works flawlessly and plays all games including Super FX Snes games. The only down fall is you cant use you original Nes controller or Zappa gun :-( There is also a more recent one, Turbo Trio or something that has NES, Snes, and Genesis all in one! Now they just need snes to nes to gen adapters to go along with it (I hate the Genesis controller so much!! Im not hatin, I love the Genesis, just not the controller..) -
On a side note, for anyone interested, I do have a system II in great condition, and ECS (also great condition) and a *pause* SYSTEM CHANGER! (in great condition), plus loose copies of WSMLB and Jetsons Ways with Words, also would throw in copy of AD&D Treasure of Tarmin. Need a reasonable offer in this though, i'll probably re post this in the market place soon.
-
Also i'd like to mention, should anyone give me a decent offer on the whole lot, and does not feel safe buying over the forums, I will put up a buy it now on eBay, user jeremys-art so you can paypal it.
