  1. hey i live in canada and have the cart that you are talking about. i would not say that it is common up here in canada but it is not a complete rare find. i have often thought about who made this also and i just always thought that it was the panda one because i have never seen that one. but i know now from looking at the end label scan for the panda one on this site it is not that. guess that was not much help to you!
  2. well i have a gemini and every game that i have tried on it seems to work just fine. the circut for the gemini is complete diff although it does the same thing in the end, and the cart slot uses a standard slot. i think this is why comp's started to use non standard slots like the NES and stuff because they can copyright a slot not the out come of a circuit. anyway that is just some of my thoughts there i have nothing to back that up but it makes alot of sense to me anyhow.
  3. so did you use Delphi to code this then, because i could us something like this but for linux and i know that there is Delphi for linux

    PAL cartridges

i guess you never found anything out about this then?
  6. hehe i have always thought that the intro screen and graffix's in califina games was done very well for the 2600. the music was also in my mind one of the best sound tracks.
  7. i would have to just say that you should look into a composite out hack for the beast. that will help clean up the picture alot.

well i was thinking more text based done in C. but i was also mabe thinking about going with pascal... but this is a little ways down the road.
  9. i have a question kinda along the same lines. i have noticed that some atari made carts and the letter P on the end label does this mean that it was for PAL. i have some that play on my NTSC system and have this but being that it was on the end label i am sure that if atari had a bunch laying around they would not worry and use them just the same. any ideas or anyone really know about the end label letters? also what is with the numbers on some of the end labels? wow that was alot of questions there in the one little block.
  10. well thank you for clearing that up for me that makes alot of sense now to me.

np i will do that for sure but like i said i have alot on the go right now, with other atari projects, work, and girlfriend i don't think i will be doing that anytime soon.
  12. i don't want to seem like i am being pick'ie but i have noticed that your label vars list (which is very helpful btw) does not take into account the M Network white and black labels i am sure i have a black and white end label on one of my Tron carts?
  13. and about the game boxes they do look like 2800 boxes to me also.
  14. did anyone else notice that there is no atari logo on the front of that 2600 in the picture?
  15. 1. girl friend 2. smokes 3. atari 4. 1l cans of faxe if i didn't have to work i could live off just 1 and 3 i think.

    atari lists

hey thanks for the feed back i also have a html version but am now going to a text only version. i could see why someone would drop the model numbers to cut down the size but i feel that model numbers to me are important, as you never know you might just find one that has a differnt model number. i am thinking of coding a cross platform program to keep track of all this stuff but that is a little down the road the 2600 jr schematic project and composite out on the 4 switch wood'ie is keeping me busy on my days off.

i saw a post a little while back about how people sort out there games that they have, and i would just like to find out what people think is the best way to lay out the info. i think that one line per cart is best and that it should have something like this game name / model # / game maker / label var / cart / box / manual / anyone have a better way or something else that could be of use to people? i ask this because i am in the process of re doing my lists.
  20. my top 3 would have to be Joust Jr. Pac-Man Galaxian
  21. well i am working on a schematic project for the atari 2600 jr and i noticed that on the NTSC version that i have there is a section on the board that is left blank. in this section there is a loy out for what looks to me to be a different timing circut for the board. i would think that this would make sense as that they would not want to have to make diff boards if they could just make one and save cost. once i have completed the schematics for the jr this will be a little more clear to see but right now that is all i can say right now. you seem to know electronics, would you like to help? hehe
  22. i find this interesting also as but is there any other games in atari history that was accepted in the same way?
  23. i am sure that there is a web browser for the older 8 bits, i mean lynxs would be great i would look into that and see if there is a port for the 8bits.
  24. thanks man i will check that out i hope that they work witht he real thing and not just the emu
  25. well i didn't use anything i copied it, so i guess i should not have put the word disk in there they are just .img files. i do not think they are full disk images but i would like to know where i could get some?
