I stupidly sold my Evercade and all the carts as I didn't really use it. Tempted to get the Vs and the few carts I want to play, rather than "full setting" it, haha.

Haha! Heck... if Disney started suing people who use Star Wars pics as satire or parody on May the 4th... I think they'd end up owning even more of the world than they currently do!!
We send all of @CurlyQ's epicness to them. They think it's hilarious.
Yeah but the difference is most people don't have "pre-order here" on those memes. It could be argued you're using their brand to sell the Amico. I'm no lawyer but I do write for a TV show and we can't even mention a brand without getting clearance, let alone use a brand to advertise our show...
If they like it though, all good - can't argue the pics are awesome! I wouldn't mind an Amico controller R2-D2 action figure, tbh

I thought in honor of May The 4th (and in case some folks missed some) I thought it would be cool to show all of the incredible @CurlyQ (aka Slappy) Star Wars parody work over the year!
Got the email. I really hope you guys are doing a Star Wars game because it's way too early for you to get sued. Haha.

A quick list of lies and continued misinformation...1. Todd & Slade don't work for Intellivision.
2. It's a Banana Pi architecture with a Qualcomm chip.
3. We're direct porting mobile & flash games.
4. Nitro Derby was already released.
And the final ignorant comment...
5. No one likes Amico.
Oh... and one overly really dumb and ignorant statement.License's don't matter.
I laughed when Pat said you could just "slot in" a different CPU to the Banana Pi. Um, no. No you can't.

Anyone else have an issue with the mouse in Breakout? I can't get the paddle to the bottom of the screen. It stops about 2/3 of the way down... I shall try keys as it looks fan-f-ing-tastic.
EDIT: No keys but mouse is working fine now - false alarm, LOL.
EDIT 2: It's stopped working again

Me too! I'm really looking forward to this, Dynablaster and Skiing (among a load of others). Skiing was literally the game that made me pre-order the Founder's Edition and I can not wait to play it! Astro Smash looks really cool now too.

Yeah, hard to believe today was the initial launch date. That came up fast! Hopefully April will too, haha.

Wow, just watched the gameplay vid. Gotta admit I wasn’t initially a fan of Astro Smash but the changes they’ve made are great. I guess that’s the risk of posting early WIP stuff as it’s hard for the punters to see the final vision.
All in all I was pretty blown away. It was only missing one thing - a retro low poly, 8-player arcade rally racer with blatant self promotion.

But god damn, it's fun to play, if I do say so myself

Not sure if this has been mentioned, but Tommy, I hope you guys are documenting everything on video as I for one would LOVE to see an Amico documentary when the console is a success. I think it would be a fantastic story

16 hours ago, IntelliMission said:I have good news and bad news about Pat & Ian.
The good news is that they just discovered that there are 3 billion gamers out there (they previously described that as a "niche").
The bad news is that, according to a nonexistent research they just pulled out of their asses, "they're not going to pay hundreds of dollars to play".
In each of their videos, they have to repeat that there is no market for "some new console for casual gamers".
It looks like someone is salty.
Yet they praise the Playdate. Nothing against the consaole, it could be very cool, I just find it odd that they're ok with an obscure B&W handheld but not a new home console designed to tap into a massive market, especially when the handheld is almost the same price.

I've only played the Neo Geo Baseball Stars. Baseball Stars 2 is fantastic. Probably my fave BB game.

Have you played Reggie Jackson Baseball on Master System? It's fantastic!

8 hours ago, IMBerzerk said:I agree with you. I can (and have) build a rocking Retropie box with really nice looking cases from Retroflag that look like NES or Sega Genesis. I don't want an expensive Atari case with a multi-game emulator. I was hoping for a VCS rebirth like Amico.
Not sure why they are going this route, but I'm not investing in it.
Emulates 29 systems and plays well over 2000 games.... All for $120.
Yeah I have that case as well as the PAL SNES one. They're great. I also have a Pi in a Flirc case with a PSX only build - 450 games
Problem is, Pi doesn't play stuff like N64, Dreamcast or Saturn properly. The VCS will have enough grunt. I also LOVE The Need For Speed on 3DO - it's my fave racing game but I sold my 3DO a while back (kept the game, lol). Sure, I can play all this stuff on my Mac or PC but a cool, console looking box that boots straight to a multi emulator front end will be awesome. I'll still have the Pis to take to friends' places etc
I was actually keen on the PolyMega... but then I saw the price. More than an Xbox One X!!!

Is it wrong that I pre-ordered one? I intend to use it as a cool looking emulation box. Will handle way more systems than my Pi

I don't care for Orange Sherbet but I understand that there are those that do and don't feel the need to post videos and memes on the evils of sherbet and those who make it and enjoy it. I just choose not to buy that product and move on with life. "Can't we all just get along?"
HOW F#[email protected] DARE YOU! ORANGE SHERBERT IS THE BEST! A$$%&#E!

Whoa! Congrats on the MLB licence, Tommy! There hasn't been a good baseball (especially licensed) game outside of the PlayStation arena in forever. Instabuy for me. Not a big baseball fan but I love baseball videogames. Currently the only good one I have is Reggie Jackson Baseball on Sega Master System, so that's going back a bit!

Intellivision Amico - Tommy Tallarico introduction + Q&A

This may have been answered somewhere but seeing as there are chip shortages and we're expecting another delay, does this apply to the founder's edition too? I mean, he patches have been made
