  1. I must admit, despite being a big Jennifer Lawrence fan, I have not seen it. The trailer was enough!
  2. Awesome! Yeah, my mate Grant was his PA during the whole Avatar shoot and they kept in touch. Says he is an awesome guy. Friend of mine also has parts in Avatar 2 and 3 and he says the same thing. He has lots of funny Arnie stories, apparently! Haha. Sounds like they had fun making the Terminator films. So you reckon we'll get a Terminator game for Amico?
  3. This is exactly why some claim him to be a bit of a tyrant on set. I have a few friends who worked closely with him on Avatar - he had so much at stake and knew EXACTLY what needed to be done, down to the make and model of microphone he wanted to be used for a particular shot. He's so incredibly knowledgeable about every single aspect of film making. Hell, I was a boom operator for a few years, then a sound recordist and I wasn't any more nitpicky than using the correct mic for inside/outside. Anyway, according to my mates if you just did your job without throwing in "helpful" suggestions that just waste time (which is money) he was awesome to work with.
  4. That's an odd reply to a pretty normal question. It's not like he asked for their names, phone numbers and social security numbers...
  5. I reckon if you worded it right you could definitely do that. "Did you know this game is available on Nintendo Switch?" It's a true statement. Nintendo may argue that by saying "This is a Nintendo Switch game" that you're saying it's a Nintendo game, which it isn't, and could possibly have a (weak) leg to stand on in court. Not a silly idea though, tbh. Chuck it in mags like... I dunno... what do mothers read that their kids won't see? Haha...
  6. That’s a massive swing from the older Nintendo systems. Remember when even Mortal Kombat didn’t have blood? I guess they’re trying to shake the “kiddie console” stigma - but that really comes from their first party games anyway - they’re mostly pretty “cutesy” (and I wouldn’t change a thing).
  7. Holy crap. Is it wrong I want to track down some of those games now? 😂
  8. Yeah I think the movie probably struggled to get all the licenses needed. Funny how you can write about anything, mention any product but as soon as you try and put it on screen you get "GIMME MY MONEY!" haha.
  9. I absolutely love stuff like this! Which reminded me to ask a question I thought of the other day - are there any easter eggs in regards to to console design itself? Any specific meausrements or anything that you decided to throw in that people may not notice but you know are there and "in its DNA"? Obviously the controllers are a clear throwback but I was wondering about the console itself as it's quite different looking from the big 'ol '70s design! But yeah, little things like this show how much love and care is going into Amico... HURRY UP, OCTOBER!
  10. If I had $25k If throw it right at you. Sadly I'd struggle to get $25 together right now, haha.
  11. Sweet! Quick, @Tommy Tallarico - float the company now! I wanna buy shares 🤪
  12. I have a solution: Scream "No! Mine! Buy your own f%&*ing Amico!" before you even buy a single game together. Bonus is the relationship might end there and you'll never have to worry about it
  13. It is REALLY good. I literally prefer it to the real thing.
  14. The funny thing is, the C64 'Maxi' has made me want to mess around with my Mini more as the manual is chocka with info and I'm guessing a whole heap of things work on the Mini too. I might set it up as my 'gaming' C64 on the other telly and use the Maxi for development/making music etc. For most games you don't need the keyboard and for the games that just use one or two keys, you can assign those to the joystick - I honestly had no idea the Mini was that versatile. Of course the working keyboard does mean the Maxi is that much better. I'm in love with mine. I just proposed to it and we're going to get married in the spring.
  15. Awesome! They're a great unit. I use mine for watching movies, exercising and the odd bit of gaming, haha. Sadly I have an ATI GFX card so the Rift Link cable doesn't work for me... yet. But hey, the reason I bought it was for the wireless experience anyway - Link hadn't even been thought about then (I'm a day one buyer). If you want to see what the Quest can REALLY do, check out Red Matter. It's pretty darned stunning.
  16. I guess I'll remain friendless in VR as I am in real life
  17. Awesome, thanks! More to these devices than I thought, haha.
  18. Yes, I believe so. As for the Speccy Next, I have been watching that but is the thing ever going to come out? It looks awesome though. I'd also be keen for a remade original machine - same approach as The C64.
  19. You can but it's a bit of a hassle. You need to make files etc I believe. I haven't looked into it fully as the multi file games I wanted to play are all available on either d81 or .crt.
  20. Yeah, I actually got mine on Thursday! I'm loving it, though it's not 100% 1541 compatible as I've found gamnes with custom loaders which don't run. Easy fix though - I just hunted down EasyFlash conversions. In reality you can't beat real hardware but for my situation, this is much more ideal. Emulation is great and the keyboard, whilst not mechanical, still feels nice and old school - it does make more hollow sounds than the original, for obvious reasons, but it actually doesn't feel too bad. Keycaps look great to me - time will tell. I do have a full set of og keycaps - I wonder if they'll fit? Anyway, I'd rate it a solid 8/10. It looks the part, it's much easier to set up and use than a real C64 and overall it's a pretty authentic experience. Oh and the joystick is sooooo much better than the older model, but the buttons are annoying. It's so easy to hit one by mistake (those stupid triangle ones) and the front four all do the same thing. It'd be nice to be able to map them for different games etc. - but in saying that, perhaps reaching out to hit the space bar to activate boost in Turbo Out Run is part of the nostalgia Oh, one other negative - the Thalamus games have gapped it, which really sucks. Easy enough to load from USB, but still. Anyway, they fixed the issues people had with the C64 Mini, so it wouldn't surprise me if they released another version of this, perhaps a C64C with mechanical keyboard? Being the C64 whore I am, I'd buy it instantly! Now I'm hoping for a Speccy and Amiga reboot, haha. EDIT: Thanks for the heads up on the Mech Board. I wonder if there will be some way to hook that up to TheC64? No doubt someone will work it out and that would be a worthwhile mod! ANOTHER EDIT: So no, I won't be able to use my keycaps but you can make it run in 1541 compatibility mode by using CJM files. Bit of a pain but hey, if it works...
  21. Dunno where you're from but bagging a mole is definitely something rude in my parts. 😂😂😂. You generally get out of there before you have to feed them though. 🤣🤣🤣 DISCLAIMER: This is just a joke.
