  1. Are there still some copies left? I gotta get my hands on this!
  2. Odd question for you, but dose that include like the old Coke vending machines (with the door and glass bottles) ? ] No. Me, being an upper-middle class 15-year-old living in a one-story house, cannot afford or have space for something that large. We did buy a huge Coke fridge for 300 dollars (It was made a few years ago, it's not an antique), but it was commercial grade, a power-hog, and very noisy. We are trying to sell it, but to no avail. However, I do collect many glass bottles and limited edition stuff, as well.
  3. I'm not a techie, and I don't know how to modify a controller, OR where to buy an adapter. you could also buy a European Atari 7800 controller. They look like this. http://www.atariage.com/7800/controllers/con_Atari7800Joypad.jpg That's what I was asking to see if it worked better. I know what they look like.

  5. Where do I get an NES conversion pad? Does it work really well for SD?
  6. Okay guys, ever since I got my Atari 7800 a few years back, I got a copy of Scrapyard Dog, mainly because its one of the few side-scrollers for the Atari 7800. So, the game is good, but the controller is horrendous, and is NOT meant for side-scrollers. I would use a normal Atari controller, but SD (Scrapyard Dog) requires two buttons, so the normal joystick is out of the question. I tried the Sega Genesis controller, but what happens, is that no matter what I do, on the title screen, the game doesn't respond to me. However, if I get in the game with the normal joystick, and then plug the game back in, the d-pad works fine, but the C button jumps, and it's really delayed; your character (Whom is called Louie), will jump AFTER you let go of the button, and it's always at a predetermined height. With a normal controller, you have complete control over your jumping height (which is called player control, for those in the dark). I have an Amiga Power Stick, which has two buttons, but the same thing happens. And so, I do not feel like playing the whole game through with Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, and I plan to buy a European 7800 controller (which is like an NES controller). But before I buy, does anyone know if the Euro-controller will work on Scrapyard Dog, or any NTSC 2600/7800 games for that matter? If not, are there any alternatives to the normal, painful American Atari 7800 controllers? Thanks, Galymcd13
  7. Hey guys, thanks for all your help! All look over and follow all the reasonable advice here! Thanks again! ~Galymcd13
  8. You've got to take into consideration as well the fact that developing consoles isn't exactly a cheap venture, especially ultra powerful ones. And as awesome as Nintendo is they don't exactly have comparable wads of cash to spend like Sony and Microsoft do. :/ You're joking, right? Nintendo is leading in the Video Game market! I think they have plenty of money to spend! Leading yes but money wise both Microsoft and Sony eclipse them in total company assets. What I'm saying is taking a massive loss to get out an ultra high tech console(like sony did with the PS3) doesn't seem like something Nintendo could do. That is honestly something I don't understand. Wii has motion controls, DS has a touch screen, and the 3DS is in 3D, without glasses! Nintendo was an innovator, and you can't make and sell technology affordable like that unless you have a lot of money to spare. And besides, the DS and Wii destroyed PS3/PSP/360 in unit sales. Oh wait, I see. Sony doesn't make JUST consoles along with Microsoft. But Nintendo focuses only on gaming, and that's why they're an innovator, and Sony and Microsoft feel the need to rip off the Wii and DS. But still, with technology like that, they must SURELY have a lot of money to do it.
  9. You may have to wait a bit to get a response since this topic was started in 2002. Yeah didn't he sell off everything he had to fund an invention that was going to make him rich beyond his wildest dreams? I hope he didn't fall victim to a scam and that everything turned out alright for him in the end. Lol, well, I guess I didn't pay attention, eh?
  10. I collect Coca-Cola memorabilia. It includes furniture, toys, lamps, boxes, cartons, bottles, and much, much more.
  11. Okay, if there's one thing I've wanted to know for years, is how to program games for the Atari 2600. It may seem like a losing venture for me (considering I'm only 14), but I would absolutely LOVE to know how to make games for the Atari 2600. I have so many ideas, and I have no idea how to program. So what I ask of you, the community, is to, step by step, instruct how to program for the 2600. Like: What I need to program, how to use it efficiently, etc, etc. I haven't the slightest clue how to program, and I have never programmed anything beyond WarioWare DIY before. I am a total beginner. But please, I dont want to hire anyone, just give some tips or something. I really want to program. I've wanted to for so long. So if anyone here would be kind enough to offer some advice to a fellow classic gamer, it would be much obliged. Thanks, galymcd13

  13. Seriously, how the heck do you guys find these things? You'd think that because if you live in a state with a huge population, there would be at least ONE cheap prototype up for sale in the wild! But nope. They're all in the Northern parts of the state (Uncanny amounts of them in Pennsylvania).
