  1. I've spoken to a few people about a possible trade but nothing has panned out. Still looking! If you're interested in a trade, please pm me. My wantlist (for rarer or sought-after titles) is in my signature and I'm also looking for many common loose carts for Genesis, SNES, N64 and complete common PS1, DC and GC games. Thanks for looking!
  2. Well I'm certainly in no hurry to sell it, like I said it's been stored nicely away in the closet for years now. But perhaps someone here wants to give it a new home. As far as trades - I'm open to just about anything. I collect every system, so I would consider all offers. Hardware: a boxed Channel F or Arcadia 2001 would be awesome. Software: just about anything US from Odyssey^2 to Wii U. (EDIT: except Xbox, Xbox 360 and major sports titles)
  3. Hi folks. I'm looking to trade my like-new-in-box promotional Atari 2600 console (CX2600A). It was given to me by an old roommate many years ago and I've kept it in storage ever since. He opened one end of the box to inspect it's contents, but it's basically like new and unplayed. All of the boxes and packaging all still intact. The boxed is marked all over with "Promotional Use Only" so I assume it came from a store display. I'd love to trade it - my wantlist is my signature - so feel free to pm me. Thanks! EDIT: New pics of the console and serial # added (2/18). It is a Sunnyvale unit with smooth chrome switches. Hard to tell from the pics but the color around the switches is yellow, not the normal orange. EDIT #2: I spoke with my old roommate who found this system, and he remembers finding it already opened. I was mistaken in my post where I thought he had opened it. It appears that whoever -did- open it moved some things around, but still appears complete and mint. Most likely it has never been played. A trade is pending, but wanted to post this correction.
  4. Well next time you are in the middle of a transaction with someone, you should keep them up to date not ignore their messages or go "off the net" for a week. You can see when a forum member was last active, and you logged in at least twice last week. I wonder if I would have heard anything had I not said something publicly in this thread (and then you respond immediately?) Anyways, my money was refunded. Buyers beware. I don't believe busterm to be dishonest, but definitely flaky.
  5. I sent payment ($200) to busterm for several games 10 days ago, and have not heard back from him since. No confirmation number, no thank you, no games. Nothing. He won't respond to my private messages inquiring about the games, though he has logged in several times since I sent payment. Frankly, I'm pretty pissed - I expect this kind of crap from kids on Sega forums or something. Searching the forums, it seems I'm not the first person he has treated this way. Anyone know him or have another way to reach him?
  6. I'd love to open it up, but I'd rather wait for N to release another patch or two. I'd be scared I'd brick the damn thing - would be just my luck. I'm hoping to use installation and setup time as a good time to teach the 8 year old that his new Nintendo is something to be treated with utmost care and respect. About achievements: I guess my real question should have said - does the N Network do any sort of ranking by syncing achievements/trophies? I'm not the world's hugest trophy whore, but I def spend more time on them than I should on the PS3. I enjoy them and would like to see them with some first party N games, but haven't heard anything definite with Nintendo Network.
  7. I currently have a Wii U hidden away up in the closet which will be going to the stepson at Xmas. I'm dying to play it though, the wait is killing me. I'm really curious if the Wii U had some sort of trophy/achievement system. Anyone have any info and/or thoughts on that? Also interested to see something specific about the systems specs (though I'm the first to argue specs don't matter, only gameplay). Just very curious. Reading about the troubles moving everything from Wii to Wii U sounds like such a PITA that I think I'll just leave it alone. I plan to keep my Wii anyways and since it won't upconvert to 1080p, there's not much point for me. Also, here's an interesting Wired article - 10 Things I Hate About Wii U. http://www.wired.com/gamelife/2012/11/10-things/
  8. I too just found this thread, most likely waaay too late! They look great and would love a set if they are still available.
  9. Very nice collection indeed. Thanks for sharing!
  10. Ditto, this looks awesome! I wish I had your skills. Great work!
  11. I've seen a loose one at a game store for $400. I reaaally want it because it's the last game I need to complete my 5200 collection, but since I already have the multicart it's hard to justify the cost.
