HI, I'm a bit of an atari "n00b", and I have a quick question. What is the different between a pal game (or system), and a ntsc game? Also, what are the differences collecters value wise?

Well...I'm a new atari owner so perhaps my word may not be the best to go by, but I picked up a set of Wico bat controllers at value village a couple weeks ago, and I love them. There really sturdy and comfortable, especially compared to the atari ones.

This is horrible! I've just started playing/collecting atari stuff and I'm guessing it's going to become very hard for me to do so! I went to value village yesterday, and found about 6 atari carts, each were three dollars a piece! They shouldn't charge more than one dollar for them, and they were all commons. I bought them anyways because I only have 5 games and need to get more I went to a hockshop downtown and asked them if they had any atari stuff, and the guy was like "Atari, eh? Thats way before your time!" and I was like "Yah, I collect the stuff" and he said he had a box full of atari and intellvision "junk" in his basement that he could sell to me cheap, so I gave him my number and the next time he goes down there he says he will call me I hope he does! I need that stuff!!!

Yah, you're probably right. I think I'll hold off on the idea until after a month or so of ebay scouring. I'm trying to get a supercharger and supercharger game for $25.00USD or under. If I can't then perhaps I'll go with this plan....or I'll buy the the $25 one from 4jays, pricy, but I really want to play all the games on my atari

Great, thanks for all the information I have a couple of questions though. How hard would it be to do this? Creating the circuit to transform the audio data to digital could be quite dificult. Any ideas on how to do it, an examples on the internet? Also, if you know of any good example code or just about anything that would be helpful with this, please let me know. Thanks!

Well, I've had a basic stamp 2 and carrying board just lying around for a couple of years now, and I want to do something with it. I've recently been trying to get ahold of a supercharger to play games from cd's... but have had very little luck! My plan is to somehow hook up a discman to the bs2, and have the bs2 process the rom and then send it too the atari. Has anyone done this yet? Are there any guides on doing this type of thing with an eeprom (it could help me work this out...)? Any ideas, suggestions, ect, please post!

Hi everyone! I am (as you speak of) a "newbie" to the atari. I just picked one up a 2600 two weeks ago at a flea market (I've been trying for a long time to find one, and I finally did!) I got it set up, and I am hooked! Unfourtanetly I only have a few games, combat, galaxian, oink, and starmaster. I really need some more games, but unfouranetly there are NONE in town. I went out last weekend and went to every freaking thrift store, and all I found was a set of atari controllers. I really need some common carts like pacman and especially Pitfall....perhaps someone can help me out? Anything at all would be appreciated, I really want to get into playing and collecting atari games! The problem is, a 20 american dollar item is about 40 canadian I guess I'll have to up the amount I'm willing to pay for one.
