  1. so say i was to make a proposal to the atari corporation as it stands today..

i was thinking they could get with the open source crew of today..

make something that is competitive with the xbox...

prehaps make a gaming system that plays all the games of ALL systems (of course that would never happen..

at least make the new console backwards compatible where it will run all old atari software and NEW atari software.. prehaps thru emulation etc..

thats why im leaning towards and open source like linux based console...

licence free emulation... etc.. plus net working cabapabilites, but also include legacy joystick and xio ports so u can also play your original games.. mebbe a cart port too (in [email protected]!)

prehaps we could have a tempest 2010..

or a 3d journey to the planets etc.. etc..

  2. ok i fixed that myself.. but now that i have it loaded into the memory address how do i get it to display on the screen

it runs perfectly with no errors, shuts off the screen, loads the picture into memory, and the turns the screen back on

now how do i get the picture to display.

  3. ok when i do it in turbo basic i get garbage 17 errors at line 30

and when i do it in regular nonhappy atari basic blue

i get malformed get errors with the comma before the peek + peek *256

    (on both)

is it a badly formed mic in g2font or is it the code.

thank you my friend across the big pond =)

im in cold snoy maine today.. be back in boston soon =)

  4. Hi, someone posted a while ago in one of the SMBport threads a way to load MIC files in basic

can any one either post it here in this thread or is there a pre-written .bas file i could have that would let me load mic files as a title screen to a game =)

I cant seem to find the thread it was on.. i had it bookmarked but now its gone alas. =(

  5. also steve kinda did release the docs.. u just have to do some searching on his website.. and actually re-type the address into the address bar.. so there is documentation its just hard as hell to find.. i think im gonna write up a good manual for him.. for the RS232 at least.

  6. ok the openSSH is viable..

as for a shell i have gone to all these free shell places and almost all of them are all SSH now..

the reason why i was asking specifially for telnet is because of the APE software from atarimax.

thats all it runs.. now im gonna talk to steve to see if he can add SSH support into the ape side of the software...

also yes i am for a temporary measure telnetting to my unix box and doing SSH thru there to bshellz.org.. but i would like a direct connection again like i once had. (i got electricity bills to [email protected]@@+!!)

  7. I need a program to run my atari on the ape atarimax cable but on linux..

    what program should i use

and does it have the R: handler like the windows version?

Im running knoppix 6 and slackware 5 on another laptop.
