Why is atari mania down.. i had some more dumps to add.

I'm wondering if there is any 8-bit demo out there that plays the "Atari Jingle" with pokey sound?
There is an 'easter-egg' in 'Atari Artist'. Click on the middle bar of the 'fuji-logo' at the left top of the screen and you will here it...

Is there a list of all known atari easter eggs?

thanks, i am building my sio2pc now... its funny, i reg'd cause i needed something and someone said to pm/email them and they will send it, and i found it just looking for the person... odd...
now i just need some decent project to do once i have my sio2pc and hd working :')
sloopy.
Want to help remake journey to planets
or help build our atari robot band?
-
Ive always thought that at least we could reuse the stepper motors inside the printers to build a really cool robot.. or you could build a plotter with a mini pen out of it...
just because theres no ink doesnt mean the motors and electronics are junk.. find a new purpose..
im going to be using the stepper motors out of my atari printer..
im just waiting to see if anyone makes a new print ribbon..

Here is the .atr image.
What other programs will the touch tablet work on?
Also..
Does anyone have a cartcopy program.. I have tons of carts that need to be archived.
Also yes booting with dos worked as well. but now i CAN run it on two machines at once with the atr.
-
Have you tried booting from DOS with the cartridge inserted?
When the computer is turned on, Atari Artist cartridge runs the standard OS procedures to load a DOS from a disk drive, which allows the program to later use diskettes. It works with normal disk drives, so in theory it should also work with SIO2PC. Have you tried loading a DOS ATR image before turning the computer on?
Ok ill try that now.
Dos 2.5

Does any one have a copy of atariArtist in ATR format?
I have a touch tablet, but atariartist is on cartridge and i cant save over APE/sio2pc with the cartridge in.
I need it in atr format
is there a cart copy program around i can copy the cart to atr?

Always loved this game. Would love to see a remake/update, using the incredible programming techniques all you code/hardware ninjas have discovered over the past couple of decades!
I'd pay good money for J2P2 on a cart.
Unfortunately, I'm in no position to offer useful assistance in this venture.
I hope it happens!
Yes, now is there any way to get in touch with jack verson the original author..
i have read the faq of journey to the planets
and he said he talked to the author.
I have several friends who work at blizzard and we were thinking not only an updated atari version.. but how about a multi-player one with network capabilities for the PC? Ill work on the atari version for now.. using the source code provided by mark.. and thus it begins.

We were wondering if there is any way we could make it more modern...

Ill be uploading the entire 100 disk archive at 4:20pm today
In this thread.
I have like 20 more disks to do today and then it is complete..

How long before somebody uses Init of the Pokey as the name for their new band?

ATR image: fujichat_atr-0.4.zip
The source archive is apparently too large for this forum software to allow as an attachment, sorry about that.

How long do you think a machine will last?

Yeah, I have bad dreams about my 8-bits not working any more.
I think its a subject alot of people don't like to talk about.
Prehaps we should pool together as a community and prehaps seek out contracts to build new machines or prehaps figure out some way to time proof the ataris, now that technology has gotten better prehaps air tightcases with a cooling system?
a vaccum seal would stop any air corrosion issues..
the trick is keeping the components working if u use it actively for say 25 years
my atari 800xl from 1983 still works. thats 27 years... whats 27 more years to a circuit board not directly exposed to sunlight
I predict that yellowing problem alot of people are seeing is a forbearnce of whats to come.. maybe a new production of cases may be needed
I mean we have already lost the printers.. and a good bit of drives in 30 years.. my disk drives still work though.
