Holy F#@%! (Super-Massive Lot, Need Advice)
Videogamecollector123 replied to dommie's topic in Atari 2600
Like I said before, If he'd just lower the price to 1 dollar on his carts they would move a lot faster and he'd make more money then the scrap rate. -

It would be really sad if those 1 million carts were melted down, If this guy would lower the price to one dollar a cartridge and sell them to the public he'd make a lot more then scrap prices, just tell him that the guys at AtariAge will get the word out. -
Early models of the 7800 had a port on the side for the "planned but canned" LaserDisc add on. Interesting - I've never heard of this... Yeah the 7800 was originally designed to turn into a fully functional computer, however after that idea was canned they took the port out to save money on production

How long do you think a machine will last?
Videogamecollector123 replied to Kurisu's topic in Atari 2600
I think that Atari's will last a long time, but in the future they're going to need maitnence. It will get to the point where to collect Atari you need basic knowledge on circutry and soldering(although that's not a problem for most of us here). -
jpg Those are pictures of the circuit. On closer inspection the lead that connects the Phototransistor to the resistors wasn't soldered on right and was only making intermediate contact, so I'll try soldering it tommorow and see if the results are affected. I also sawed down the tip of the marker to put the transistor closer to the point.

I built this circuit from the Playvectrex schematic but right now I can't get it to work, so these pictures are here to see if anyone can help me

any help on making this would be appreciated, I've spent a while putting it together and I really want to be able to use it now.

Question about Vectrex regions
Videogamecollector123 replied to Videogamecollector123's topic in Vectrex
Thanks I was wondering, I thought it might have been like the 2600 where the games don't have any region lockouts but they don't work in other regions due to tvs and power, I guesse it's lucky the vectrex has all of that built in standard world wide -
Does the Vectrex have any regional lockouts?

Modified vectrex pen problem
Videogamecollector123 replied to Videogamecollector123's topic in Vectrex
Well I just have to lengthen the wires then, it wouldn't go all the way down before because of that. But yeah I'm just going to get it up farther into the actual tip of the marker and see if that works any better. -

anyone think sawing the tip down a little bit would do any good? Because thats what I think would work, or I just have to lengthen the wires and put it up further
