Finally getting to use my AC that's been in for three weeks. Welcome to summer, New England!
-
Last Wed: Almost 60 degrees. Tuesday: Blizzard with 1-2 FEET of snow expected. Ah, only in New England in March!

To hell with turning 40 today -- I'm 25 and holding!
-
Random fact of the day: according to USA Today, if you wanted to buy one of everything that Amazon sells new and directly from them, it would cost you $12.8 billion!

Is anyone else having any issues connecting to the Playstation Network? I'm trying to access the store from my PS TV, it worked fine yesterday, but now it just sits on the Please Wait screen, and I confirmed my network is fine.

Gamer keeps Super Famicon on for 20 years straight: https://www.yahoo.com/news/gamer-keeps-nintendo-system-20-years-just-preserve-000028562.html

Huh, looks like a whole thread got deleated....crazy things going on here at Christmas time!

Steam Winter Sale has started....good thing I had the $40 in gift cards from my Secret Santa on here, that's exactly how much the 5 games I wanted cost! Merry Christmas to me.

Just got a new Android based cell and I formated the SD card, but for some reason on this phone I can't download any MP3's onto the SD card directly....I gotta do it to the PC and then copy it over. Manual doesn't have any ideas. I can see the phone and the card fine and it's not protected. Any ideas?

So I just got a notice in the mail today -- I've been selected for Jury Duty! I have to report on the morning of Wed 10-28. I realize that the number of people who are selected to sit is pretty small, but they said it's still going to require two days to get that point. I'm both looking forward and dreading it at the same time. If I do make the cut and it's a interesting case it could be well worth it -- I've had some friends who have had some expeirences like that...

Really enjoying all the retro podcasts showing up these days. The more there are, the more my workday is filled with something to listen to.

Holy hell, the RVGS thread has exploded. I haven't seen anything this big on AA for years! It's too bad, also, cause I like Mike and have supported his past stuff. I just think in the end he got in over his head.

It's been a good day. Got some praise at work for handling a tricky problem, received a surprise Steam game from a friend, saw a asshole who cut me off on the way home from work pulled over soon after in a speed trap, and the judge tossed that fucking suspension of Brady out. And Sat starts a four day weekend for me. Smiles all around!

Just picked up the Star Wars Audio bundle on Humble Bundle. $15 gets you the Oriignal Triliogy radio dramas -- which I've never heard -- the Dark Forces triliogy ones, and some bonus ones. Good listening for work this week!

Been playing original Fallout with some mods applied -- better resolution, better AI for your companions, combat tactics. Still a great game. Going to see if I can get through this and Fallout 2 before Fallout 4 comes out this fall.

It's really hard to believe that 10 years ago my brand new 486SX-66 with a half gig HD was a very good system. Now I have no problem filling up my HD's with almost 2 tetrabytes of data.

I remember the 486 era very well. The machines often cost $1000+, and the trend was to build them yourself inside GIGANTIC beige towers that had enough 5.25" bays for every type of storage media you could imagine.
Those DIYers, transplanted into 2015, would have found today's tablets and all-in-one computers terribly impersonal and constricting, and to an extent, I do too.

Just did some testing and I'm stumped....I have two HD's installed on my PC, one with Windows (C:) and one backup (D:) They are connected the same way. Why does accesing pictures on the C drive faster then the D drive?

New PC is up and running, and what a improvement! Went from 2.4 to 3.8 Ghz processor, 8 to 16 Gig of RAM, and Windows 8.1 over Windows 7 (but upgrading to Win 10 when it comes out.)

Super Pac-Man is one weird, corny, strange game.

For anyone who has been enjoying my SNES Podcast, I am going to be involved with another one real soon, also retro gaming themed. And man, I can't wait to talk about it!

Well, my paycheck was in my account for less then 6 hours before it all got spent. $600 on grocery shopping, car and rental insurance, time for the phone, medical bill, and a few odds and ends. A week to earn it, a minute to spend it.

I never realized how much work went into a podcast until I started doing one on a regular basis. Hats off to my fellow podcasters!

I'm on vcation next week and got my first day off today on a strong start with major progress on Harvest Moon SNES. Next up is L.A. Noire, final edition.

Alright, Bethesda, you just gave me a reason to get a XBox One/PS4 since I want to go console as opposed to PC -- Fallout 4 has been announced and is taking place in my backyard of Boston! F-ing yeah!
